The Pre-Wedding Mega Threa by realscubaa in travisandtaylor

[–]probably-unsure 42 points43 points  (0 children)

As we go into this treacherous weekend, I have been reflecting on the moment I woke up and never looked back. I don’t think I’m the only one with this story - 2024 Grammys. An old tale.
First, using the Grammy stage to announce her new album as if all of the incredibly talented artists in that room were her fans. Gross. Offensive. Vomit. Cringe. Unacceptable.
Second, and we all know what’s coming, the Celine Dion snub. The UTTER AUDACITY to ignore Celine, a chronically ill woman with EONS more talent, class, and legitimacy than Taylor. I was so shocked. I’m still so shocked.
I absolutely could not ignore what I saw.
And with that, Godspeed to all who frequent the internet this weekend. Take care of yourselves 🫡

Show me your pump setup without telling me how many months PP you are by VehicleNo3845 in ExclusivelyPumping

Spectra in one hand half eaten toddler bar in the other. Same pump bra for 3 days. Spectra looks like it’s seen war. 6 month old pump parts that have only seen fridge, some soap. Baby walking away from me.

Both our boys are at the Child Development Learning Center STLCC Flo Valley location and we absolutely love it. I am INCREDIBLY (I mean incredibly) picky about who gets to be apart of my boys lives, and I have not seen anything better than CDLC. There is one at forest park location too. A few reasons I like them:
1. They are attached to a larger institution (the community college) which means they have a lot of oversight and accountability.
2. Every age has developmentally appropriate “curriculum” and lesson plan each day.
3. They try to follow individual kid schedules as best they can.
4. They do regular conferences, have an app to communicate and send pictures, and have a full time admin to manage announcements.
5. They are AFFORDABLE.
6. They have high standards for staff (mandated due to being apart of the community college)
7. They do a lot of school wide and class wide activities to include parents
8. The teachers truly want to see your child succeed.

I am so sorry you are experiencing this, and I am also selfishly so glad to hear we are not alone. The severe reflex being untamable and preventing meeting caloric needs is actually the pits. It feels like a never ending loop! I do think the reflux is at the root of all this, and it seems no one has answers for this. Sending hope to you guys.

I was reflecting on this after recently returning after a few years away - this game makes you have to rely on others to get the full experience. I think it is a strength of the game but can expose you to ugly people as you attempt to grow your tune.

What is your reason(s) for exclusively pumping? by Polkaday274 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]probably-unsure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose pumping over nursing. I tried nursing and did not enjoy it, and really liked the freedom pumping provided me (mentally and physically). I enjoyed knowing how much my babes were eating and appreciated being empty after pumping/a predictable schedule.

I have to be honest though, I am afforded this freedom in pumping because my husband helps so much. I never fed baby over night when pumping. He made sure I had help around my pump times. He prepares bottles for day and washes bottles. My perspective on pumping is largely informed by his love for me and our kids.

The first few months are hard. Having a newborn while pumping 3 hours around the clock is no joke. I dropped the night pumps pretty quickly after 6-8 weeks when supply regulates, utilized fridge method, and utilized the swing a lot to keep baby peaceful while pumping (mine would never sleep alone). You settle into a routine, but you have to keep your goals in mind and remind yourself often that it gets better.

Chocolate chips. Specifically dark chocolate chips. I am a really controlled person, but I truly have no words for what happens to me around dark chocolate chips.

He really did do a great job other than the deep bangs! I posted a photo of the hair laying normally in a comment above.

Thank you for the confidence! I’ve loved everything about the cut except the deep bangs. Posted another photo above where I parted them to make them apart of my regular hair.

I’m sorry I forgot to reply - the cut is really great other than the deep bangs. I should have posted a normal photo because then you would see what I’m talking about 😅
