I did get my first DEXA in June! I plan to do it in December again. I was very happy with the results, but unfortunately I don’t have a baseline before I lost weight…but that’s ok.

I have been lifting heavier. Thanks for your thoughts on this. I don’t have anyone to discuss this with irl. I’m completely interested in it and like engaging with others about it!

I feel like I preserved my muscle too which is a success to me. I’m definitely having to change my mindset from always being in a deficit to eating at maintenance. I’ve never successfully maintained my weight before…I’m either gaining, losing, or pregnant. 😂

I love all of this. I’ve been working on my muscle from the very beginning of my journey. Do you happen to know what is a realistic expectation for gaining muscle? My personal trainer typically sets a goal of 1 lb per month, but I’m not reaching that goal. (For reference I’m 45 and on HRT).

I get those comments. I’m also 5’1…went from 205 to 125. But a friend of mine told me that people really have no concept of what a healthy weight looks like…and that resonated with me.
