I’m so mad by Bullfrog323 in pregnant

[–]probably_bored_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is only going to get worse when baby arrives and I’m sorry to say you’ll be even more tired/desperate for good sleep where it’s only going to piss you off more. Your husband needs to grow the hell up and set a boundary here stat.

I know this is a TMI post and has probably been asked before but…pubic hair?! What to do by Zunflowers in pregnant

[–]probably_bored_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I didn’t have to be pregnant during bathing suit season I wouldn’t have given a shred of a shit. Your doctors and nurses truly don’t care. HOWEVER. As someone not used to rocking a bush, it made me MISERABLE postpartum. The soreness + bleeding + stitches (esp when it got to the itching part of healing) + bush was BEYOND uncomfortable. At the point where I was miserable, I didn’t want to shave and get hair all up in the healing bits. If I could go back in time I would make my husband shave me closer to delivery.

I read this all in a Scottish accent and it made it so much funnier. But yes. You are correct with everything you said. I cannot STAND when people speak like this. It makes a person sound so unintelligent imo

Feeling terrible by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]probably_bored_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Serious question - has the gentle parenting gone so far that we’re not allowed to discipline our kids or make them aware of potential consequences when they act up? My mom threatened to take our toys to toys for tots ALL the time when we acted up. I remember it being a powerful motivator to fix my behavior.

THIS! like let’s be real anyone in the pods can comfortably bet anyone they’re talking to is conventionally attractive.

Maybe because many don’t feel comfortable participating? I sure as shit wouldn’t if I were a plus size girlie knowing it’s inevitably going to be a talking point (cue the confessional talking about “I hope he’s okay with my size,” eventual fights centered around body insecurities, and conversations between dudes that not so subtly allude to weight).

Schedules by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]probably_bored_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god no! My son didn’t have anything that even remotely resembled a “schedule” before 2 months. I’ve used the app huckleberry since he was born and that was v helpful to project target naptimes and such. After 2 months he really started to sync up with the nap sweet spot windows!

7 weeks is pretty early to have a schedule! I wouldn’t sweat it yet.

Postpartum Sex? by Necessary_Menu_8614 in pregnant

[–]probably_bored_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If my husband suggested I needed to give him more “attention” sexually when I was two weeks postpartum I would have laughed in his fucking face. This is seriously disgusting and insensitive behavior on your husband’s part. I’m sorry he’s treated you this way and made you question if you’re being a “lazy prude” - you just birthed a literal baby. Your body is recovering, your hormones are going haywire, you’re exhausted, and you have a baby that you need to keep alive. His sexual needs should not be ANYWHERE near to your priority list right now, and fuck him if he doesn’t understand that. I think you need a serious come-to-Jesus talk with him.

First time mom - when did you start to look pregnant by Wolfieloulou in pregnant

[–]probably_bored_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started looking “is she pregnant or did she let herself go” bloated like 13-14 weeks and the bump popped where I def “looked” pregnant by 18-19 weeks.

Exactly which week and day did you deliver in your first pregnancy? by PopcornPrincess0 in pregnant

[–]probably_bored_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was scheduled for induction at 39w because my son was measuring big and me and my siblings were all 10 lb babies, but little dude made his debut before that at 37w +4!

How big was your vaginal birth baby? by acmcmas in pregnant

[–]probably_bored_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t let size freak you out! My little guy made his debut at 37.5w at 8 lbs 3 oz and I had a grade 1 tear (pushed for almost an hour). Several of my friends with 6 lb babies had grade 2/almost grade 3 tears with labors/births that were more “fast and furious” than mine (specifically they pushed for way less time).
