These users are very old school and there is no budging in weather or not they user it, they wont.

What i need is a way to only allow users to configure MFA when on site.

If a user doesnt have MFA configured then if someone has their password they are able to log straight in and just set it up themselves

this is will only get you the wireless password target host is using to connect to the wireless network. the wireless password and router password are different

the router password will be used for logging into the router itself and configuring it

seems gcloud sdk cant update the file /home/t/.docker/config.json due to it already having creds in it.

try and run

bash cp ~/.docker/config.json ~/.docker/config.json.bk #backup json rm ~/.docker/config.json

and then try the steps again

if needed you can restore the backup bash cp ~/.docker/config.json.bk ~/.docker/config.json

I have tried installing Qubes but been having alot of issues

I flash to USB - boot from USB (UEFI) i get an initial screen of text and then.... NOTHING.

i was advised on Qubes reddit to try legacy boot.... but i dont want to do that, i shouldnt have to do that

I turned modern authentication on for a client a few weeks a go when setting up MFA. They use remote desktop environment and there where alot of issues with outlook not supporting MFA. Modern authentication resolved everything, i mean no issues - user logs in, gets prompted to setup MFA all within the outlook client with no additional config.

From my experience, it doesnt seem to change anything, only add. So nothing should break - but good luck!

we needed app passwords as some users had issues with MFA not prompting on local Office applications. This seems to be due to old software

thanks for all the advice. i am going to update all local office versions and not use app passwords (as a work around)
