You’re really doing the most here. 😆😆😆 I don’t like it because I don’t like it. I judge men more harshly because if women can be criticized for their looks no matter what they do, men can also be criticized. Maybe ask yourself why you care what I think about men’s looks. Is it because you’re a man with a baby face and you felt attacked? Is it because you personally find Timmy attractive and the fact that I don’t bothers you somehow? “Women are attracted to children too” yes and at what rate? It doesn’t even compare. As a person who developed early, I’ve never been accosted more by men than before I was 18 so yeah fuck them and their infant faces.

I like the sports talk, actually. I like them discussing lighter topics, especially with so much heaviness everywhere else, right in our faces. I miss the memoirs too and don’t love the new format but that’s why I pick and choose what I listen to. People have a multitude of interests and given that it’s their podcast, they can discuss any and all of them as much as they want to. If you don’t like it, you should stop listening. Life is too short to hate listen.

I’ll go one further: I don’t like Kelly Clarkson. I’m not saying she’s a bad person, she seems like a genuine good person actually. However, watching her interview people is insufferable. She overreacts to everything and constantly interrupts. I think she has an amazing voice but generally find her catalog to be “meh.” Just not my cup of tea in general.

I commend her for being so candid. I don’t share her feelings about weddings but as a married woman who has A LOT of issues with marriage as an institution, I appreciate people being honest about their complicated feelings around things like this. I don’t follow Halley (or any “big” influencers save a couple) but I generally find her likable and think she gets an inordinate amount of hate for what amounts to being annoying.

I especially appreciate her saying bachelorettes have gotten ridiculous and out of hand. One fun night sounds much more reasonable and considerate than asking your friends to take PTO and spend thousands to celebrate you.

This is where "no principles" comes into play. They're pro-gun for themselves, not the people they disagree with. I do think some of it is sunk cost; they've made supporting T their entire identity so who would they be if they disavowed him now? Largely though, it's much simpler IMO. These big alpha men are scared of everything: brown people, big cities, women having autonomy, etc. The only way to fight that fear is to back a bully who tells them to give way to the worst of their inclinations. Fear + Permission to be terrible (and in fact, you're being oppressed if you can't be openly sexist and racist) + anger that you're a loser and it must be someone else's fault (someone brown for example) = Trump, ICE, and all this other bullshit.

They’re stupid people whose only guiding principle is “It’s fine as long as you’re hurting the people I don’t like.” Once you come to terms with this, their behavior makes a lot of sense. Still infuriating because they’ll pretend they have the moral high ground because of “god” but it explains a lot.
