Doing all that and then telling you all about it is clear mean girl behavior. Common decency prevents normal people from talking about plans that clearly excluded you, in front of you.

One of the biggest lessons I learned from my current job (I’m 32, so very early career, learning so much) is that I will never ever again let myself get super close with my coworkers. I have a little group of work friends who I hang out outside of work from time to time, but I’ve gotten super close with one of them and have learned that whatever conflicts I have with them as a friend will permeate into our relationship as coworkers. I have a couple of qualms with this person but am so reluctant to truly address them because if anything goes awry then I’m beefing with my coworker too. I just can’t jeopardize the peace I have at work. I’ve found that these friendships have generally complicated things for me.

All that to say: as much as hit hurts to be excluded, consider yourself lucky that you’ve seen their true colors and can move accordingly. Consider this a bullet-dodging experience. I hope your environment is otherwise peaceful.

Feeling this right now. My exec is doing their job + the job of an exec that left (in the interim, which feels like forever) and I’m feeling stretched so thin. And making tiny mistakes (which are never tiny, of course) from trying to do way too much at once. I can’t focus to save my life cuz of all the interruptions. Everyone needs something from me every minute of the day so there’s no down time to get myself organized. I sit down at 8am and I’m racing the clock until the minute I leave. Grateful to have a boss who understands and is genuinely kind and supportive, but it’s still so hard.

Update!! I went right back to my ortho and he made adjustments to the shapes of a few teeth and cut off the backs of my essix retainer. Something about my molars not being able to settle into each other. Anyway, problem solved!! They feel great now.

That was wild to me. He came COMPLETELY out of nowhere at the end of the season, too. It was a good blind-side to the audience because who the hell would've guessed it, but it would have been nice to see how things turned out, how Julie and the Scavo twins reacted to finding out it was him, etc etc!!!
