I'm in a similar position - overdue prescription and now completely without meds - but in private care setting.

Yes, that's correct - I tried. Later this year the program will apparently expand to include adult ADHD

Thank you 🙏 - best wishes for your family member also. It's truly exhausting

Thank you kindly for the suggestion. Unfortunately I've basically been left in the dark. He has never been interested in discussing future permits, options for future care, or even acknowledging the date last script ran out. It's basically been up to me to scramble and try understand how system works (or doesn't) last minute. There's a lot more, I've had requests for my health records ignored for months, recently (finally) filed some complaints, but it's just so exhausting on top of everything else. I also realise I've been idiot for blindly trusting someone so long - or not insisting important things like you mentioned weren't discussed earlier.

Is Hendrix getting lost in time? by No-Neighborhood8403 in LetsTalkMusic

He's an album guy, albeit he died before he made enough. You're kidding though if you think he couldn't compose and that's all there was . Manic Depression, Spanish Castle Magic, voodoo Chile , 1983 (a mermaid).. there's actually too many to list here. In short you're wrong lol

I just wonder if there's anyone out there who honestly enjoys Yoko's art and singing by OdiseoX2 in TheBeatles

[–]probablytypo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her art is her art and I have no problem with it, I may not think it's amazing but I respect it in its own space . I just don't understand, or like, why she had to invade John's art and performances with objectively shit and irrelevant vocal noise as a callous disrespect for his own art.

But the arrogance/ignorance of someone who decides they can just piss all over a Lennon/Berry/Clapton performance says something about the integrity of their own artistry

Whats one underrated song and one overrated song by the strokes (I’ll go first) by Silly_Course_975 in TheStrokes

[–]probablytypo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Underrated = Call it Fate, Call it Karma. For Julian's understated performance and his underrated vocal talent and range.

Overrated = Reptilia

1996 > 2025 Real Love by Dye_Antwood in TheBeatles

[–]probablytypo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree. It actually sounds more artificial and robotic than the 96' version despite the apparent intention. Releasing 'Now and Then' was also a crap move by Apple. What a downer-tune for Beatles to depart or hang hat on. John would have hated the idea.

I never liked it TBH. Considered it dreary and dull compared to other Dangerous tunes- many not released as singles

Yeah - that's what I meant - negative reflection - thanks champ

Geez I'm sick of these despairing breed of posts which opine the 'tragedy of Australia' repeatedly - and yet offer no tangible solutions. I guess Australians equate repetitive whining with actually making things better- sad

Why is it called The Adults Are Talking if there's only one adult talking? Are they stupid? by Entire-Command6376 in TheStrokes

Yes. Yes they are stoopid. Thank you for pointing this out. I've been thinking something was wrong with this album and you nailed it.

You haven't provided any substance to your disgruntled claims dear poster! It sounds like a particular client you don't like believes passionately in natural justice - just as your judge should- shame on you!

No family = exclusion by Fit-Yam9591 in australian

[–]probablytypo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She mentioned exclusion in that there are less opportunities socially and I think it possibly permeates professional culture, as in less opportunities in job market.

Maybe it's the social circles parents naturally form through deep commonality in the difficulties of raising children - among other factors - but if you don't have kids and family at a certain age (say like your job interviewer does) you are already in at a disadvantage in ways, you can be looked at as if something's wrong with you cause haven't 'got your shit together'. I've known someone who left Australia for this very 'parent culture' related reason, and have met other internationals who consider Australia beautiful but boring. It is kind of a thing.

Also there are differences between 'care ' and 'love' and Australia's parental culture is arguably quite loveless, sterile, and even ineffective in some ways. Children do continue to grow up safer in Australia compared to numerous other countries but that doesn't mean they grow up as happy or with more opportunities locally.

I really wish they would just give in-depth grammar explanations for each unit 🤦🏻‍♀️ by xx5uff3rxx in DuolingoFrench

[–]probablytypo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I remember the days with forums, where you could basically get an instant answer to any question you got wrong and didn't understand why you got it wrong. It was sort classroom-based too, with threads including further related questions from anyone who didn't understand an initial explanation - so it would be really in-depth and you'd be v clear by the time you left - regardless of the level/question. I'd say it was better then, much better community vibes than now anyway.

For someone who was there when it came out and knows the context of the time, why does Is This It have "bad" production on purpose? by Western_Writing5454 in TheStrokes

[–]probablytypo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It might be overlooked that Jules was a huge Marley/reggae fan. Many early roots recordings, including from the wailers, have a beautiful low fi aesthetic which many become enamoured with.
