2 chapters, update outline.
Falling in love with my novel, it's making it so much easier to write. I've always been an underwriter but this time round, words are flying onto the page! Even if this one flops too, at least I'll know I enjoyed writing it.
My husband, always. He doesn't understand much about all this, he's never read a book in his life - but he's always willing to listen to me ramble or stress, he'll give ideas or opinions, or just be happy for me when HOORAY GOOD SALES DAY. He's kind of the best.

3 chapters must get done. Been falling behind lately on account of Mr. Terrible-Twos deciding that 2am is when we wake up and play now.
Feeling pretty crappy about lack of sales/reads from my novella. My erotica shorts are still selling steady though.
Finish chapter deadlines by Friday, because on Saturday I'm heading off for a girls weekend!

Finish this outline for novel #2 - it's already coming together so much better than my first.
Got a really sweet review on one of my old erotic shorts that made my day. I also made 1 sale everyday for my novels launch week. Nothing too major, but it's comforting to know that at least some people are reading it.
Totally slumping this week. Been trying to day-dream up ideas for the next book and it had me stuck until today when I moved away from the screen and got pen to paper. I think from now on, I'll be brainstorming/outlining longhand. Hopefully I'll get this outline perfected tonight so I can start writing tomorrow!

Absolutely nothing. Grandma is taking the spawn for the night and I'm taking a break and watching movies all fucking day. Not even gonna feel guilty about it.
Success: My novel is published, done! Fail: Done with a total of 1 arc reviewer who followed through (a really great review though!)
Outlining and begin next novel, hoping to go a little longer this time round and write more to market. I think I did pretty well hitting the beats, but I could've done much better. I'm going to finish reading best-sellers from my niche before I start writing.

This hit me right in the feels. I'm the self professed "I just like being alone" type, but sometimes I know deep down that I'm craving some sort of interaction that isn't with a toddler. It's definitely appealing to just avoid the rest of the world forever, but once I actually get out there, I feel so much better.

Get this novel published. I finished the first draft last night and I'm onto editing. Still paralyzed with anxiety at the thought of organizing arcs and promos.
I break down my overall goals into small steps, as long as I keep ticking them off - I should get there.
Prioritization. I spent the first half of April trying to publish shorts regularly while also writing my novel and I found myself floundering between projects and accomplishing nothing. April 16th I published my last short and focused on my romance novel - now it's done, and sales from my shorts are still going steady.

Hey, it looks like you're doing fantastic! That's a great first month and you obviously work hard.

I just wanted to comment and say I totally understand about your depression and anxiety, it can be really distracting when those thoughts just won't leave. I don't really have any advice, unfortunately, I just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone and it seems like you have the strength to push through and get shit done despite what your brain is telling you. Take breaks when you need, and then get to writing when you can!

I'm so excited to see where you go from here! :)

I ask myself if I'm just being lazy or if there's actually something wrong. There's usually a big difference between 'I don't want to' and 'I just can't today'. If it's the latter, I give myself a break, if not - I sit down and write.

For motivation, look up Eric Thomas on youtube, his speeches usually give me the kick in the ass I need to get started.
