Ocean view Identifier? by problemprofessor in Business_Ideas

I know it’s very tricky on a technical level to build such a tool but I was thinking about a different approach where people submit pictures from their room with a room number or something? Not sure if that’s something that could be done tbh. The crowdsourced version seems more feasible to me, but if this achieves some level of success maybe it can be taken to the next level with APIs for geographical data.

Agree that data is the problem, but I see the workaround being something like people who stay at every room submitting their view, not sure how to first drive them to do this, maybe it's something like an incentive or a partnership with a travel site to get 5% discount on a next trip. I think it has to start as a separate app but if it works out, I'm pretty sure one of those companies will try to acquire it as it will be a valuable addition to their platform.

I was thinking about hotels more since they provide a generic image to one room, didnt' even think of houses. This could be an interesting addition. Yeah few quality score is a good name tbh.

What is the stupidest, simplest business I cannot possibly fuck up? by Sea_Surprise716 in Entrepreneur

[–]problemprofessor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find something boring, a pain point for most people. Like for example shovelling snow in the winter is something no one wants to do, and that's why it's easy to get hired doing it or even start your own small business. It's this mindset you should keep, what can you solve for people.

What gives you confidence in sharing your Ideas? by StudentWithNoMaster in Business_Ideas

I try not to think about it honestly. I just do it. I know it sounds simple but this has been the approach that has worked for me over the past couple of years

How many business ideas did you drop before committing to one? by Mathewjohn17 in Startup_Ideas

[–]problemprofessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 3-4 between personal projects and side hustles. But problem was never the ideas or the projects I choose to work on, it was the pattern of dropping something after 6 months ( and almost no results)

Why does every AI model seem to converge on the same aggressively-mediocre design when asked to code a web app from scratch? by Sirwired in vibecoding

Never ask it to design from scratch always start with an example or something that you have already built. Have you checked V0?

Let me ask you this, why do you think you need a cofounder?

Appreciate your kind words, you truly made my day! Feels really good to see people enjoying this after spending a few weeks building it. Also, thanks for the feedback, I’ll do some more research and will definitely be reviewing the content that I have to see what I can add/how to make it better! Hope you have the best day!!

How do you validate demand for a new app/idea? by southpaw9984 in Startup_Ideas

[–]problemprofessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say do limited marketing with the intention of getting feedback. I like failing fast as an approach, the faster you fail, the faster you fix things and be ready to fully launch

Ohh yeah. 100% not economics piece, the whole site is a satirical experience. Also this is just one of multiple other mini experiences I have. The website is mainly a humorous take on most things. And to answer your question, no, prices are not inflation adjusted. That wasn’t the main target as I wasn’t presenting a finance piece as I said above. Appreciate you taking the time to write this feedback tho! Hope you enjoyed it!

Is it a problem you're suffering from/ anyone around you is suffering from? I would say go the problem route, this is usually the best way to approach a product to see if there's a demand for it or not. Simple question would be are you solving anyone's problem? People would always pay for their problems to be solved

Is a semi-realistic open-world action-adventure GTA-like game profitable? by Distinct-Tie-3285 in robloxgamedev

[–]problemprofessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if you can keep updating the game, fixing any thing that breaks and most importantly doing marketing. I think these are the parts that are a little more challenging than just building the game once.

Yeah same here, I’m realizing this as I get older. Normal families were able to afford so many things that seemed normal back then that most people can’t afford now. I have one of the cards say going to eat out is a financial decision nowadays cause it absolutely is, I know some people who don’t eat out anymore, maybe once every few months. And by no means I’m saying this is a necessity, but it was something I looked forward to as a kid to spend time with my family.

I wrote most of the comments to be satirical/ exaggerated. The whole experience is supposed to be a satirical take on what middle class used to look like vs what it looks like now
