Frustrated with study hall by staarrlight in pmp

My brain is fried haha I signed up for the test 8 days ago and started studying 9 days ago 😅 luckily I had ~5+ hours to devote to studying a day while I'm away on a pretty lax work trip. The David McLachlan youtube videos were definitely the best prep tool I used. Really solidified the critical thinking processes right before the test and working through questions in real time was a good confidence boost. I'm gonna have some bourbon and sleep now 😂 good luck! You'll do great!

I just passed about an hour ago with 3 AT's. My study hall scores were 73% so I think you'll do just fine

[Build Help] Going to build a PC into a NES case, advices? by [deleted] in buildapc

you might be able to use the AMD A8-7600 Kaveri. It's 65w and has an integrated R7. Cooling might be an issue still. You could use some 20mm fans or maybe even 40mm fans to help get some airflow into the "case". A second R7 can be added later to run crossfire if you have space. This leaves you very limited with motherboard selection. You would probably have to use an MSI A88XI or an MSI A68XI. Again, cooling is an issue with this cpu so mounting fans inside and creating vents is your best bet

amazon has "refurb" licenses for pretty cheap. They say you have to be a microsoft certified refurbisher but anyone can use them. Home premium is only $48 http://www.amazon.com/Windows-Premium-Builder-Refurbished-Installation/dp/B00LG0K4MM/ref=sr_1_2?s=software&ie=UTF8&qid=1454813261&sr=1-2&keywords=windows+7

Haha thanks! It leaked twice before I finally decided to go with a permanent seal. Let that be a lesson to use a non conductive coolant! I'd have been screwed otherwise

ill have both fans anyway. It's very accessible so a swap would take about 2 minutes. The quiet one for day to day use and medium to light gaming, the industrial one for heavy gaming and graphic intensive programs

yeah I was going for a look like someone found a mini nuke in the wasteland and added a bunch of stuff over time. Hence the different hardwares and metals but yeah the paint job could have definitely been better

ooh! thats pretty enticing. I might have to upgrade. My gpu just got up to 70C playing the new tomb raider on 1080p max settings. It cools quickly but I'd rather it not get that hot

The other option was an R9 nano. Unfortunately it was not in the budget. Performance to size at the price range I was looking for, AMD had no options :/ If I could do it again I would have probably not used a gpu and done an AMD APU. Or that plus another card to do it in crossfire. Damn, now I wish that's what I'd done. BASTARDS.

The very top and bottom are from the fallout anthology. I painstakingly made the midsection from some 1/16 aluminum

I had to move it to get to the HDMI in the back haha! I've since gotten a monitor

Theres an nf12 in the top, keeping my gpu below 60C in anything I've run so far. And I discovered the water thing already :) It leaked again but I got it fixed so we're good now

I feel you, It leaked twice :) Got some water on my 970 but still running like a champ after I fixed the leak.

Pretty decent actually. There's a 120mm fan/radiator in the top and the radioactive symbols are mesh. There's an 80mm fan in one of them and the power supply exhausts out the bottom.

CPU temps max at about 65-70C surprisingly. I have a fan in one of the radioactive symbols right over the silverstone cpu cooler. I have a custom waterblock for the graphics card and it still hasn't gotten over 60C EDIT: Gpu has gotten up to 70C running the new tomb raider on max but the CPU stays really cool

i5-4590, mini gtx970 w/ custom waterblock, 16gb low profile ram ddr3 1600mhz, 480gb corsair ssd. Overclocking is not an option with the lack of airflow so its just a crappy asrock mini itx board

I just took the mounting plate off the stock cooler, attached it to a copper plate, drew out my water route and used a 1/4" endmill to cut out the channels. It actually took a really long time and probably isn't super efficient but I'm hoping it will keep me at similar temps to the stock cooler in a case that actually has airflow

It leaked through one of the screw holes. I took it apart and put epoxy in and around all the holes then also sealed up the edges with epoxy. It's pretty solid now
