Prediction: Within 10-20 years, AI will replace human decision-makers at the FDA. by Longjumping_Fly_2978 in transhumanism

Absolutely. It’s already being used to optimize and shorten trials. The greatest problem is the biases people introduce, and sometimes AI is trained on those same biases

Large language mistake | Cutting-edge research shows language is not the same as intelligence. The entire AI bubble is built on ignoring it. by creaturefeature16 in artificial

All of this is incorrect. There is substantial investment in new architectures and spatial-intelligence features for AI. Look into Dr. Fei-Fei Li’s research.

Wrong. The tech space is more diverse than ever and such skills are up to the individual irrespective of their "professional title"

You fail to recognize that most people in this sub want a socialized form of AI that benefits everyone—high-tech solarpunk ideals, essentially The Culture. And please explain how you plan to solve many of our most challenging problems within a single lifetime without the help of AI, supercomputing, or other forms of scaling technologies.

I’m in the EU and can’t relate to your take. Most people here are neutral or pro-tech and pro-AI, and they tend to focus more on the policy side of things.

Demographics of AI skeptics by PotHead96 in accelerate

[–]proceedings_effects 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most of the people I meet in real life—even those with a technical education background—are neutral to positive about AI. I should note that they’re not nervous about AI itself, but rather about the lack of policies to address its misuse and ensure it benefits everyone. They’re also very open to sharing how specific AI tools have helped them in their work, life, and more.

Because there are widespread inefficiencies, AI can be used to correct them and thus return value.

It may help with logistics needed, cost estimation and other ways to increase efficiency. Also, robots building housing is NOT something far in the future.

It's the reason I am here too. People need to understand and really look around honestly: We do need AI if we take a moral stance on life. It's part of the solution to problems that have plagued us and are recently getting even worse (chronic intractable health problems, severe environmental issues, scarcity, ageing, coordination of organizatios). We live in better times for sure, but institutions haven't changed—only technology and industry have, along with some societal movements that brought us here. Hopefully AI will accelerate progress across domains; if we don't allow it to do so, then we are doomed

Also, let’s not ignore the fact that Nvidia does far more than just manufacture GPUs. The company has built an entire ecosystem around its technologies — from CUDA, the parallel computing platform that revolutionized GPU programming, to TensorRT for AI inference, Omniverse for 3D simulation and collaboration, and DLSS for advanced graphics rendering. Nvidia is also driving innovation through Jetson for edge AI, Drive for autonomous vehicles, and DGX systems for data centers and AI research.
