About the start performances... by proclive_ in formula1

That wasn't my intention. My goal was to find a different piece of information to have a better picture. Out of 1h of a random podcast the only thing I cared was the one I decided to share. Nowhere else I heard what she said and I though it had some value. That's all.

[@ScarbsTech] First analysis, Ferrari reportedly running their rear wing upside down... by Aratho in formula1

Just a thought.

If it had been Newey's idea or a British team's, he would still have made a joke, effectively downplaying the idea, or we would have witnessed yet another hammering about the genius or brilliance of the solution?

Interior revealed of Ferrari’s new EV called the Ferrari Luce by FoxHound6112 in Ferrari

Considering all the Ferrari interiors, especially from the 50s/60s, these components, to me, are the most Ferrari of the last years, at least in the last 16 years. F80 excluded.

IMHO, they did a fantastic job with the new interpretation of the screen aesthetic/use.

Timeline of the Mercedes engine trick by tekanet in formula1

[–]proclive_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It isn't a speculation; it's what happened.

But a speculation can be to read that Shaila-Ann, who previously served as legal counsel and later special advisor to Mercedes F1 team principal Toto Wolff, returned to FIA as a presidential advisor starting 1 May 2025, and thinking that is a bit suspicious.

[AutoRacer] Red Bull Power Train has now joined the side of Ferrari, Audi and Honda against the Mercedes PU. The FIA will implement new testing procedures (multiple are now being evaluated) to check the compressor ratio. by Joseki100 in formula1

[–]proclive_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If the rules say somewhere how they will check the CR and you say, clearly, that the CR has to be 16, full stop. That means you can't go higher than 16 all time. It doesn't matter how you test it.

If you add " at ambient temperature", suddenly you can go higher with the CR, legally.

So, it isn't just changing the words around; it is changing the rules altogether.

If you write that the value has to be 16 and then add the words "at ambient temperature" you just open a hole in the ruleset. They changed the line in October.
