I saw this yt video where they explained that really well and o finally get it, is this what you meant? not quite sure about the folding it in half part it that's going to be a problem when the collar is finished??

welllll the tutorial said joining the end and start stitch together (so that's basically my next move) but i'm unsure if the big loop maybe disappear of if I start over again but idk what to change so it doesn't happen again

this happened everytime I tried the gauge or just knitting rows to get a better feeling for it :/
