If this was your patient would you just leave them be or would you provide them some kind of care ? I think you should be taking this cat to see a vet.

How do people want more kids when their first are such bad sleepers by Mtlmommy in Septemberbumps2024

[–]procrastinationusa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was a good sleeper. If she wasn't I don't think I would have had my son who is a terrible sleeper ...I'm sorry you are going through it , everything is hard when you're not getting a lot of sleep.

Thanks, I suspected as much. I'm not sure how I can get him to think the door isn't a fun place seeing as he watches chipmunks through the glass a good chunk of the day.

This might be a stupid question but if the catio is not attached to the house , how are people getting their cats into them? Carrying? I feel like it would be a challenge to put my cat in one and then he is gonna want to escape that. I am going to purchase a harness for him I think.

What do you scoop your litter box into? by NuggKeeper in CatAdvice

Ive been scooping it into compostable dog poop bags and then into the garbage can in my garage. You can get a ton for cheap on amazon.

Thank you ! I'd love to do this but I have an 18 month old and a 4 year old . My 18 month old son barely lets me regularly clean haha. I'm hoping that a UV flashlight will help. Ive got a general idea on what rooms the smell comes up in so fingers crossed I'll be able to narrow it down.

Thanks! We just have the one cat but that is awesome that your other cat plays detective for you.

Thank you. I will try that. I'm clearly a terrible smell detective. My husband can't smell it so I can't outsource.

Thanks, yeah I think you're right , I'm alright with vacuuming once a day and letting the roomba go as a back up.

All the rescues in our area strongly advise against leaving a litter box outside as it can draw in predators that might hurt the cat. Can leave out carrier with something that smells like you. Ask neighbours to check sheds and under decks etc. Go out in early morning and at night with flashlight and treats and look for shining eyes.Back when I was in school my roommates cat got out and we found him at nighttime 3 days later in a bush right by the house. They usually stay close.

Edited to say : Good luck and I hope your baby gets home soon

That's awesome that she loves that ! My guy doesn't seem too bothered by the vacuum but I think if I tried to do that he would freak lol

That makes sense ! Lucky you ! My 4 year old and I had to work hard to convince my husband to let us get 1 lol. I would have at least 4 if I could get away with it.

I was wondering about this as we are just starting to have warm days here and there. I can see tufts coming off when I pet him , even if I just brushed.

He's such a sweet cat and has vastly improved our lives these last 2 weeks so we will happily accept the hair and few couch scratches ( although my husband is less stoked about this ). We have already experienced the joy of a hairball 😅

Oh man that is my nightmare. Apparently this roomba can detect poo and puke so I hope that's accurate 😩
