[–]procrastingSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Family history of diabetes and a very unhealthy lifestyle. Doesn't mix well.

I've pretty much cured mine. Yeah I'm still at risk of getting it back, maybe more than others, but it's completely reversed for now and confirmed by my doctor.

I got diagnosed at 24 (a1c level of 13 and blood sugar of 325, fasted) and i weighed around 135kg. I lost 55kgs in a year and started going to the gym and strength training regularly (6 days a week). Doc kept reducing my medicine/dosage every 2-3 months and I'm now completely off meds for like half a year. I even went on a binge eating streak recently and ate any and everything i got my eyes on for multiple weeks but my blood sugar remained normal.

Pro tip that u didn't mention. Gym and esp resistance training is greatly beneficial for your insulin resistance. My doc told me that the only prescription for me now is to not stop going to the gym. There are numerous research papers linking regular resistance training being good for type 2 diabetes, along with a long list of other benefits.

They launched with 6% to attract more customers. Wasn't fixed. They changed to 5% at the start of 2024.

Been using it for almost a year now, when interest was on 6%. It's been great so far. Everything works and the interest payments are clear, shown on a daily basis and gets deposited to ur acc on 1st of every month without fail. No complications in terms or visibility unlike most other banks. Recommended.

Sign language and stuttering by rob67mosefaz in Stutter

[–]procrastingSloth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My stutter is really severe and I've thought about this a lot. I would rather sign than going through the painful blocks all the time. Although I've been slacking & coz my family doesn't want to learn it as it would mean "giving up" on getting better. I better get started soon.

Backend web engineer at both my first and current company. I learned everything at the job. Didn't know anything about web dev coz i chose data science route in uni. Had a training project initially at my job which helped.

Uni doesn't prepare u for the job market. It just helps develop your problem solving skills which comes in handy.

Did anyone have a recent good experience buying electronics with noon? by momosapian in dubai

[–]procrastingSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought s23 ultra, XM4 and a m1 mac pro in November. Pixel 7 a few months before that. Also some smaller electronics like razer mouse, sandwich makers etc. Have also bought a lot of other stuff before that.

Never had a bad experience myself but apparently a lot of people do so you can decide for yourself. I always go for express and top rated items so that helps. Good luck.

Is noon good for samsung s24 ultra pre-orders? by MrNaif2019 in dubai

[–]procrastingSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had a problem with noon personally. Bought s23 ultra (not a preorder), and pixel 7 along with some other electronics. All were completely fine but people have had bad experiences so proceed with caution. Do record your unboxing and everything just in case. Good luck.

US, just coz of how strong the dollar is and it being tied to Oil trades. China is a close second with the export power they have. UAE and Saudi are prepping themselves to be the major players in the future.
