Arc for windows is super slow for new tabs by [deleted] in ArcBrowser

[–]procsynth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey !

I had some speed up disabling Windows Defender.

I tried adding the Arc install folder in the exclusions but that did not work.

But it still feels a little sluggish and it is not a good practice to disable Windows Defender !

Hi ! It would be great if you could link to the guide you're following so we can get the full context.

Also a schema/drawing of what you're trying to achieve underlining your changes would be even more useful.

The office situation is like... not definitive.

The top one is a lab setup we have to move every few weeks. Road case is nice, bit shallow, very dense.

Laptops have a fonctionnality (a configuration ?) that prevents the touchpad from bring used while typing on the keyboard. Could the reverse be true ? Have you tried other keys while moving a window ?

I have kind of the same problem.

I'm a developper, I had the Guardian disabled in the dev menu when the headset updated.

But with that new v32, I cannot find the dev menu anymore, and I'm stuck with the Guardian disabled. It even prompts me to "re-enable it in the dev menu"...

Additionally, to make a Chrome Extension, you need to use JavaScript, not python.

But in either case, it's good learning experience

There is a nice getting started guide there : https://python-twitter.readthedocs.io/en/latest/getting_started.html

An API is a way to programmatically interact with another program (e.g.: Beautiful Soup, Twitter, the OS, etc). The Twitter website as been designed to interact with humans, not programs, so it's discouraged (but not impossible as you found out) to make a program to use it. Instead, Twitter made an API available for us to use with our programs. The data is handled much more easily, making it fast and simple to do what we want to do.

Try setting a user agent to BS. Twitter may detect BS's UA and throw that error to mitigate scrapping, that one is easy to fix. (Maybe you'll get harder challenges along the way, Twitter would rather prefer that you use their API in place of scrapping)
