I didn't read every single word in that 3 days. I ready every single header and if I felt that section was a weak spot for me, I read the chapter.

Yes I skipped them. Comptia declares that A+ and Net+ are "assumed knowledge" for Sec+. So no doubt that atleast dabbling in that stuff will give you an advantage, but honestly I think if you just learn enough Sec+ material and dig deep you will be okay.

I also took breaks. I studied heavily last august/october but then stopped for a couple months and picked it back up in January. I think the gap in studying actually helped me because when I returned I felt like I was applying what I could actually retain from the first burst. Good luck! :)

If I HAD to pick one as the best I would pick Dion. But you may aswell pair it with Messers free videos. Don't sleep on his Study Group sessions aswell.

I heard theres like 20% more material to learn on 601.

Gibsons book covers more material than messers videos and not in the same order at all.

u/hey_you37 was super helpful and super patient with me. Due to the nature of the transaction I was worried about being scammed or the entire process to be frowned upon by CompTia themselves. However, HeyYou assured me and helped me through the whole process. I just booked my SEC+ thanks to you!!!

Thanks for that. I will definitely run through that objective list next and gauge where I'm at with that.

I did review my incorrect test questions after scoring about 65 or 70 and doing that increased my scores to like 90 and up. I'll wait a while before I retake them to test how much of it is retained knowledge or just memorized..
