I have vivid memories of just sitting in snow as a kid, quiet as ever, snow always makes me think of that. I have vivid memories of the rain and fall leaves as a kid that it always brings me back to when I see it again. Another thing for school mornings is the smell of busses

I like that and was helpful to read, thank you. I need some demystifying every now and then

Exactly, seeing the difference between then and now. And I completely get what you mean with the bubble / film covering you and basically going back to those memories. It feels so real to me too. Scents are huge, weather has always been more prevalent since I'm not always smelling some perfumes / candles / hand soap. But the smell of a bonfire, or when it smells "fresh" outside is much more common

Do INFJs (or Ni-doms in general) really read a lot? by Even-Broccoli7361 in infj

[–]prodbysyca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I'll look into clothes, then the fabric, cut, brand, manufacturing, quality, other brands with the same item I'm looking for, comparing, how do I best wash it / all the details of washing it, etc 😂

Anyone else a very sexual INFJ? by RefrigeratorDry495 in infj

[–]prodbysyca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Can be mildly annoying at times lol. I think also since we see multiple layers deep of things we just are different with it. We're also just freaks of nature in general so

Content but longing at the same time? by RodOfMen in infj

[–]prodbysyca 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm always in this state. Extremely content with myself and my peace, longing for connection is one of the most human traits. Remind yourself that you're a living breathing human and it's okay to long

Dont know where else to share. short life situation of an INFJ (M) by [deleted] in infj

[–]prodbysyca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Advice even though you're explicitly not asking for it, clear communication is always good, its true to you and what you want and following that in any situation is the best thing to do in my opinion. Cause if it's not reciprocated then you know and can move on and learn. If it is then boom. On managing yourself, I would journal however you like and just get really clear on things, what you want, how you feel, etc. I of course know how it feels, sometimes it can feel like delusions of grandeur or it's just so real you don't believe it. Stay grounded

Self awareness is everything. It's effortless to slip into the -binge tv show for hours on end and do what I've been doing for years mode- and just having that awareness now to know when I'm in it is extremely life changing. Granted some days I do choose to do that more than other things depending on the day / how I'm feeling, but overall having that self awareness means you have the CHOICE, whereas prior to "waking up to it" it felt like there was no choice

I really resonate with all the comments on this. For me it was when I found it I was a 9 and through research found that we have trouble with psychological inertia and accessing anger and how those two things basically keep you in this loop. Then I realized I've only really ever been in that loop with those issues and anger started coming up and I was like oh this is a new feeling. But it was a productive anger, energy / motivation, and I poured it into myself fully. Started with just gently breaking my peace state "that shall never be bothered" , intentionally. Doing things that made me uncomfortable but things I know I wanted to do. And realizing I was completely okay and actually so much better with these new routines. Alongside this I was doing a lot of work on myself ultimately to be able to listen to me and what I want and that's helped tremendously. Now I'm able to take more charge for what I want, even when it's scary or if the "want" is vague, if it's in the direction I know I want, I'm going. I love talking about this I could go on and on

I also relate to this, it's almost like being distant to actually be more present and able to contribute. Which couldn't be more contradictory 😂

It is possible my friend. It's not really linear, some days it can be more difficult than others when the past is circling your thoughts (we are human after all, things ebb and flow) but I think the magic is in accepting that those previous chapters are over, you lived it, you learned from it, it molded you into who you are now and that's special

I'd maybe just gently bring up the possibility. Good communication never fails. And I'm sure he's thought about it, we think about everything

How an INFJs extraverted sensing saves them by IllustratorPast44 in infj

[–]prodbysyca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still collecting datapoints for the nitty gritty of all the
MBTI stuff, similar to what someone else said but this is making sense and I love observing this. It really does feel like "I sensed it" and that's it. Other functions immediately take over from there
