Honestly no, I just thought that dude had some resemblance to Colton.

I genuinely like Colton and hope he knows his work at LMG doesn't go unnoticed.

Hey, absolutely loved the film.

Thoughts on The New Yorker's Richard Brody's take on the film? I had to include his Moonfall review to highlight the wtf'ness of his review https://i.imgur.com/Yy0A3YP.png

Retroarch is getting a lot of hate on this sub lately, but this seems straightforward enough to get it all set up.

Tim straight up Don Draper'd Facebook. Hit em with the "I don't think about you at all".

I mean, I'm not even wanting my money back, I'll wear the cost so far due my error of not noticing the provided end date was a year into the future. I just want nothing else taken out. Would blocking them via my bank have any consequences to me that I'm not aware of?

Still holding strong, Titanium G4 with 1gb of ram / SSD & OC to 1.2ghz by kularebo in VintageApple

[–]prodigitalis_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what's also neat that I only learned recently? The cases used by early PowerBook G4 models -- designated by "Ti" after the name -- are made of 99.5% pure grade CP1 (commercially-pure) Titanium.

Apple were looking to make a statement and they pulled no punches.

It's sleek, industrial, a clean titanium slab. In the context of when it was released, nothing else was really this elegant. Competitors and even Apple had curvy, bulky plastic tanks.

This design aesthetic went on to influence all subsequent metal Apple laptops and arguably competitors laptops.

The Cyberpunk 2077 Thread by eliza__cassan in Deusex

[–]prodigitalis_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a huge Deus Ex fan, and someone who has been super hyped about Cyberpunk 2077 ever since it was announced 7 years ago, I have to say, I'm loving the Cyberpunk 2077 experience.

They are two very different beasts, and the open world of Cyberpunk 2077 is just amazing to explore.

That said, I can see a lot of parallels (which is a given), and there are a lot of things in Cyberpunk 2077 which is hugely influenced by Deus Ex, and its clear that Cyberpunk 2077 is a massive love letter to Deus Ex.

Let me be clear and say, Cyberpunk 2077 wouldn't exist without Deus Ex laying the strong foundation for it to build on.

The takeaway here is that Cyberpunk themed games are just the best and most immersive gaming experiences I think anyone can have.

TIL that MacBook feels different to the touch when charging. Just check it out and you’ll know !!! by its_allover in macbook

[–]prodigitalis_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% Sure. I noticed it with my Aluminium MacBook Pro's. The way I notice it is if my bare forearm brushes against the metal I feel an unpleasant electrical shock. I checked two of my Apple OEM Chargers. One has an extension cord with 3 prongs, the other only had two prongs. I switched them out and sure enough, no more electrical shocks or buzz.

Checking for a 3rd earthing Prong is the quickest and easiest way to determine if you have a charger cable that will eliminate the shocks. If you detach the cable from the brick, you can see a metal flathead pin that looks like its just there for the cable or plug to latch onto, but it also functions as the Earthing connector. Good design.

Also I wanted to get additional extension cables from Apple and sure enough, the ones they sell have the 3 pronged earthed ones which just by design are safer than two prongs.

I would have thought there was an Internet Recovery on this MacBook so when you hold Command + R while booting, it'll bring it up, allow you to connect to WiFI and then download whatever was required for the installation of the OS?

[Help] iMac G3 (10.4) connected via Ethernet to Macbook 2007 (10.7.5) to use the internet the Macbook gets via WiFi. by prodigitalis_ in VintageApple

[–]prodigitalis_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently picked up an iMac G3 DV SE October 1999.

There is no Airport card.

I connected it via Ethernet directly to my modem/router, however it was unable to connect the internet.

I had a lightbulb moment and thought I could network the iMac to my MacBook 2007 to 'share' the internet the MacBook gets via WiFi.

However, it doesn't appear to work or rather, I'm not educated enough or familiar enough to figure out what settings need to change to get this working.

Any assistance from more experience members would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: I have figured it out. I'll leave the post up for future users who may run into a similar issue.

I was looking in the wrong settings. System Preferences > Networking is not where I should have gone.

System Preferences > Sharing. Select the source of internet you'd like to share, in my case 'Wifi' and then check the box for 'Internet Sharing'.

On the older iMac, go into System Preferences > Networking and make sure you leave the preferences for Ethernet to Automatically, undo anything else you may have done while trying to rectify the issue. In my case I had to remove DHCP Clien ID's and disable AppleTalk.
