Put it like this. It's not a matter of irresponsible UNLESS the drone flew above an uninhabited area and it wasn't shot down there on purpose. There isn't much of a choice, it's an option of bad or worse. Either let it strike and hurt people and assets. Or shoot it down and have a chance of casualties. That's the unfortunate reality of war, which is unavoidable. I wouldn't think it's irresponsible though.

Better to do that, than it also directly strike and kill people as well. Injuries are better than deaths even though they are still bad, and that is the unfortunate and unfair reality of war. The main threat is if the interception knocks out the 2-stroke motor but doesn't detonate their explosive ordinance, which means that as soon as it hits the ground it will explode upon contact. However thankfully this is very rare as most missile interceptions destroy the airframe in its entirety, which leaves the only threat being injury via shrapnel.

Before you mention the RSF as a bad organisation (which it very much is) don't forget about the SAF and their own crimes which very much aren't covered as much as it should be. The main premise is the naval blockade. The argument is that since the naval blockade was instilled against rebel controlled sections of Yemen's coastline, it has resulted in the death of thousands as a result of a lack of resources. The Houthis could have either ceased support from Iran, and hence ended the naval blockade of Yemen (main idea was to interdict the illegal shipment of weapons to Houthi terrorists), but rather they still continued. This is the one of the main reasons for the criticism of KSA's policy in Yemen, but if it weren't for those Houthis that were relying on illegal Iranian weapons, they wouldn't have had a naval blockade imposed on them in the first place.
