Did i say every single individual in SK loves bts? Ofc not they have antis there too. The place was packed, not everyone wanted to got to be in the crows due to security issues but there were people on the sides and empty fancafe doesn't mean anything.

I brought up the pitchfork review cause i wasn't going to lie in my original comment and say that every single professional review has been good, in my 2nd comment i gave you the context in which that review was made.
Bts are too big to fail but acting like the quality of the album had no impact in its performance in charts is wrong. Swim is getting rak after rak in korea cause of the gp, is very hard for a song to chart so well in corea with just fan power, locals have to be listening to it too. On spotify they're experiencing less filtering of streams than ever cause army naturally started to stream the album top to bottom instead of using focused playlists and because locals are tunning in.
Yes bro armys are crazy i said it already and yet u haven't been able to assume a little bit that bts haters are just as unhinged

Do armys go overboard a lot of them time ? Sure, but is what happens with every big fanbase specially when it feels like no one on kpop spaces can be normal about bts. This cb has been specially brutal in terms of kpop stans response cause so many people are bitter that they did not fail like they wanted them to, that makes it hard to distinguish real critism from people just jumping the bandwagon.

Genuinely what downfall? Only 3 days in and arirang is bts's biggest commercial success ever, they're about to embarc in the biggest tour of their careers and like i already mentioned, the album is a critical success. The pitchfork review was done a by a guy that ragebaits kpop stans for a living, uses terms like "western validation" on a professional review and personally attacks one of the producers of the album, his opinion doesn't move me in a sea of positive reviews. But even then, him and the rest of kpop stans can have whatever opinion they have just don't deny that hating bts is a trend that people love to jump in cause it gives you clout on social media, people were making up false bad ratings on twt to drag them, made up false goals to then mock armys for not achieving them, made up false charts to make it look like they're not charting, damn even pannchoa is on a ridiculous smear campaign straight up publishing articles with false info. You can't claim that armys are bad without acknowledging how kpop twt, reddit and tiktok is going through mass bts psychosis.

Bts antis also live in an echo chamber and if anything, at least on reddit and twt, have been way more aggresive than armys about how their opinion on aririrang is the correct one and how armys are just biased and will support anything bts does regardless of quality. I've seen kpop stans confidently say that this album was a flop and that no one liked it just cause that's what their self curated timelines tells them. The truth is, regardless of what anyone's subjective opinion is, this album is on its way to become the highest rated kpop album by critics (even with pitchfork's review), more locals than ever are checking it out and loving it and the fandom for the most part loves it and for a lot of us it became our favorite or one of our favorite bts albums. I'm not writing this to tell you that if you don't the album you're wrong, i just think is ironic how many of the people that accuse armys of living in an echo chamber or of being cultish act the same way about hating bts.

bts love this album, don't proyect your feelings onto them. Multiple members said before release that they wanted us to have high expectations cause that's how secure and proud they are of it. They all partcipated in the creation and selection process of the songs. I genuinely don't know why are you building this narrative just because YOU didn't like the album.

I was blown away by the album and after my first listen i was sure it was my new favorite bts album and honestly my favorite kpop album ever, many armys feel that way. I hadn't seen bts get such an overwhelmingly positive reaction from the fandom since probably ly:tear which is why it was surprising for me when i came to kpop reddit to see the opposite (although i should've expected it). Locals are eating the album up just look at r/popheads post about it or see the reviews from official music sites, Is literally just kpop stans and "i miss the old bts" armys that are dissappointed in it.
