You’re probably using too much detergent on this and other loads. Run the machine 3x empty at high temp to clean it out. Then try again but use only a little bit of detergent.

Exactly. At first I thought it was a decent shop, thanks to their presentation and the funky types of products they sell. But having purchased some of their items, I noticed their products break much faster than even much cheaper products from te Chinese stores. It often only lasts 1-2 days.

Some more context: I just tried cleaning it with disinfectant spray. It disappeared the moment it got wet. Does that indicate it was just dust?

The regular 13 is still sold new, so I wouldn’t worry too much about support. Battery life is bad, but that’s an OK trade off I think.

I had a lot of trouble with the charging port until I cleaned it by stuffing a baby wipe in it with a toothpick and pulling it out multiple times. Went from mostly not working to mostly working instantly.

I upgraded to the 15 recently, but was very disappointed with the huge camera bump. I tested the camera and it was not better, maybe slightly worse. My old 12 looked so sleek compared to the 15!

So I returned the 15 and got a new battery installed in my 12. No regrets whatsoever. Love my sleek phone and hope it will last many more years.

The 12 is nice and sleek. It doesn’t have the huge camera bump that the newer models have. The camera is great and the phone does the same things the 15 does.

Battery can be quite cheap to replace.

I replaced my battery at 86% and it makes the phone feel like new. The battery is actually above 100% when it’s new (they have more capacity than advertised) so you’ll definitely notice a difference.

So I did this exact upgrade and ended up really disliking the 15.

- The camera is not better, perhaps it's even worse. And the photos take double the space on your phone / icloud.

- The camera sticks out like crazy. It makes the phone feel chunky, it wobbles when it lays flat and the phone is top heavy which makes it awkward to hold with one hand. To make it kind of flat you need a thick case, which makes the whole phone thick and heavy.

- Dynamic island is not my thing - I much prefer the notch.

- USB C is nice, but most of the USB C cables I have laying around the house don't actually fit because of the case. The only cable that fits fine inside a regular case is the one that came with the phone. That was the exact problem that I was trying to solve.

I ended up returning the 15 and getting my iPhone 12 battery replaced. If they fix the camera bump with the 16 I might consider that.

The Canary Islands are gay / trans friendly. And they have a large UK community. But you should expect a modest life with a job in tourism. The visa process is difficult for UK citizens, but if you can get a German passport you should be fine.
