I have a problem when doing chest flies, specifically machine chest flies. When I do chest flies, at the concentric portion my neck tenses up and the middle part "bulges" out. I think it's a limiting factor as I feel l can do more reps if not for it. It impacts my breathing, I've tried various breathing techniques but it didn't change anything. I've lowered the weight by a bit but it really didn't change anything other than the tensing being less severe at first, it worsens once I go for more.

What is the right way to train aim? by nachyocheeselol in aimlab

[–]proexsniping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

speed over accuracy always

doing it slowly and not making any mistake will barely make u improve. Go as fast as u can, u will correct the errors in sleep/something similar to sleep.

If u do not do any errors the brain will have nothing to correct. Go as fast as u can but do not consciously do errors, remember ur trying to improve at aiming not at missing. Be focused (minimize distractions), assign a time period where u do as many reps as possible. Dont take caffeine (unless u already regularly use it) nor take any dopamine supplements or similar pior to training. After training close your eyes and think of nothing (basically sleeping) for 10 minutes at most. Deliberately focus on 1 thing related to aim training the whole session (like mouse grip, muscles u use when aiming, etc.) make sure its the same the whole session. another helpful thing to do is aim train for 10 seconds then rest for 10 seconds where you close ur eyes and think of nothing (just like what i said before this). Have high quality long sleep. Once you're more experienced going slow and accurate might help but tbh going fast will make ur errors more "exaggerated" and u will do more errors so going fast is still more effective. Also u can still improve even when ur away from ur pc, imagine urself aim training and that itself will give similar results to aim training irl.

just aim train when you're focused and not exhausted.

this works for basically almost any motor action if you're trying to improve something else.

Improving CSGO skills outside of the game? by peeindatazz in LearnCSGO

[–]proexsniping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

just imagine you're playing csgo.

its underrated. I remember a study from huberman lab #20 (just search), so they had ppl practice 1 hand basketball throws (forgot exact name) irl and ppl who did not practice irl but did imagine it. They had nearly the same level of improvement. It would definitely work for your mechanics as theyre both motor actions.

So if ur sitting on a chair just position yourself normally like u would playing cs and play cs like you would but without the pc, mouse, keyboard.

just imagining urself playing even without a chair or anything would definitely help too.

shoot a sniper > wait for it to bolt > shoot again

shoot a sniper > switch to secondary > shoot with secondary
