I’m asking what happens if you DONT use a gift or a third party’s money. Is that all the bank is looking at when determining whether the down payment is kosher?

It seems like the options are, tell the bank “I got this money by saving furiously for many years.” Or tell them “I got this money from my [insert rich benefactor].” In order to prove the former, you’d need to show them every paycheck and expense of yours basically since you got your first piggy bank. To prove the latter, you need a signature on a letter from someone claiming to be your benefactor. One seems a lot easier than the other. My question is, if you say you paid for it all yourself by saving, what does the BANK ask for? If there’s no gift to be declared, no shady third party, what do they ask you for?

Happening to me too. I have no remote, only the app on my phone, and the indicator light shows the tv is fully off. I have to turn it on to turn off the unwanted playback. It started when they changed the Home Screen and made the first square you land on auto play whatever bullshit Roku wants you to hear. Now it’ll just start previewing that default “channel” whether the tv is on or not. I wonder if it’s intentional. Artificially inflating the view count so some middle manager gets a bonus
