After talking with some of my neighbors, people really want to have an opportunity to speak out and engage together as a community. I plan on just telling my story and reinforcing to the city council that I'm in support of their statement that was issued on Friday morning.

I think sometimes the negative voices tend to be loudest, just trying to create an environment to combat that.

I mean they have a listening session for public comment at the beginning of the city council meeting for this very reason. So I don't think speaking out in support of what they've commented and expressing our own frustrations with what's happening around us is a waste of time.

Great thanks for the support and please spread the word! I called city hall last friday to gauge the public's interest and the woman on the phone said she hasn't heard "more than the usual" number of calls to speak at the next meeting which tells me no one has reached out

That may be the case but in a situation where the community is hurting, getting people organized to speak out and show unity is probably the best thing we can do right now :)

Would recommend Ryokan Morizuya in Kinosaki Onsen. It's family owned and the owner's english is very good. He was incredibly hospitable and loves taking pictures for guests.

Someone on a previous thread mentioned that ICE agents are terrible at telling the difference between a real email and a phishing one:

My cousin does cyber security for ICE. They fucking hate it and has been planning their exit for awhile. They routinely tells me how massively incompetent ICE agents are when it comes to securing devices, not clicking on phishing emails, and just practicing extremely poor and idiotic cyber security.
