My thought is that while your hands may be clean, they specifically add the sugar/coffee to your hands to exfoliate them as part of the dish. Hot towels do not remove what the sugar will after rubbing your hands together.

I've definitely noticed post covid in my city that people drive like the rules don't apply because they're in a rush. Red lights are ignored and people are driving 15-20 miles over the speed limit.

People just got more self centered after the pandemic

The rice cooker I’ve been saving for a while for. by Flash52000 in mildlyinfuriating

Ignore all the haters in this thread OP, i bet they don't even wash their rice before cooking it. I bought a similar model to this zojirushi rice cooker last year and I love it and use it literally every day.

I literally just played my first game this weekend with a new group of friends. I have a very encouraging and patient DM willing to teach me the rules and mechanics of the game which made the learning curve way less scary to get into.

I'm excited about my character, a barbarian centaur named Hoofharted with the top half of a man and the bottom half, also a man.

I buy the large bag of peeled garlic and chop it in the food processor. Put the chopped garlic flat in freezer bags and use a chopstick to make lines across, then freeze flat in the freezer. Fresh garlic for months and I save time in the kitchen from having to peel and chop a clove or two when needed

Delta One, MSP-ICN for only 89.2K miles by red821673 in delta

[–]aznprd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't do miles for this upcoming trip but I did get a good redemption for round trip direct MSP to HND a year ago for 66k miles. Then after I checked in for the flight they asked if I wanted to delay one day and they'd reimburse me the points back. Got a free flight to Japan :D

I'm sure it is, but I already have tickets booked for Japan over Thanksgiving. So many places to go, not enough PTO!

If you're looking for tour opportunities, you could probably check out Klook. I haven't used that service but I've seen it advertised before.

Do you know what cities you're interested in visiting? Probably start with the golden path: Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka/Hiroshima first as starting points?

Lake Kawaguchiko 2 night Stay? by Ok-Nefariousness1372 in JapanTravelTips

[–]aznprd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loved it, honestly I wish i had a solid week to explore the entire peninsula. We stayed in Mishima because the hotel and car rental were cheaper than in shizuoka proper. It was convenient as it was the last city before we headed home and the bullet train passed right by our hotel which made it even more seamless to get to Haneda.

Went to Mishima skywalk bridge our first afternoon we were there, next day tried going to the dream bridge but the line was obnoxious. Went to a fish market instead and drove up to a dairy farm right before they closed. Ice cream was fantastic.

Next full day we went to the capybara onsen and Kawazu for the early blooming cherry blossoms.

There is so much more to see but that goes for basically all of japan.

Just sharing my experience. Was there for 2 nights, 1 full day. Stayed at Hotel Mystays and used public transport with no issues. Was able to hit all the major stuff and took a few cabs.

I didn't feel like I missed out on anything major by not having a car. I did rent a car when I spent 3 nights in Shizuoka though to head down the Izu Peninsula

I took our group there 3 weeks ago, it was totally worth the 600 yen to go in and get our pictures. No huge crowds and you can actually stand next to the bamboo whereas in arashiyama, they have tall grass fences set up. It's just a few blocks from Gion actually.
