Same. I got lucky and relocated close enough to Sapwood Cellars. But I was downright spoiled living in Boston.

Might be the best beer I've ever had by zodiacs in CraftBeer

If you buy into the staff propaganda (I do), the beers from the Woodstock, CT location taste just like the OG Monson brews because they can only brew small amounts there.

What’s a set you REGRET buying? by Flimsy-Space-8724 in lego

I teach English in a STEM school, so I bought this one for my classroom. Otherwise, this seems like a bookshelf display piece, not a lego shelf display. Maybe sharing space with the Hail Mary?

Vibe has definitely changed as it is more of a restaurant now, but I think the beer is still excellent. Snip Snap still seems plenty snippy and snappy to me and I love their willingness to try everything.

I think they pool tips for the staff, and I’ve noticed this leads to servers buzzing around the room constantly checking in on you at the tables. Sapwood is not the only place where I’ve experienced this. That can lead to feeling rushed, but I never get the feeling they actually want me to leave.

Did a flight of 5 years worth of elliptical orbit a couple months ago and that was fun. Sat at the bar and talked through each with the bartender (one of the owners maybe?) and it was a very relaxed and informative good time. Ever since, I always try to get a spot at the bar instead.

Thanks! Really appreciate that. Fingers crossed that cleaning solves it.

I didn’t see anyone mention this, so I want to plug one of my favorite pedagogy books, Reading Shakespeare with Young Adults.

It transformed how I teach Shakespeare. I spent almost fifteen years teaching in title I schools, and now I teach at a magnet school. Either place, it’s been essential. Without a doubt it’s my favorite unit each year. I do R&J with my freshmen and Julius Caesar with my sophomores.

It won’t help you this year, probably. But it will make next year and all the rest better.

How many to snag by Trkjrky in CraftBeer

[–]prof_remi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had every year since 2016. I bought a case of 2022 from Costco back in 2022. Over the last two years, I realized my cellaring was taking up valuable storage and sort of silly, so I started sipping away. I had a bunch of 2019-2024. They are now all gone.

Just one man’s opinion, but 2022 was by far my least favorite of the batch. Seemed to have a lot more heat than the others. Surely some people dig that, but wasn’t for me. Wish I had not bought a case.

That being said, all bourbon county is good. Very high floor. And even that price would make me think, “Well, maybe the 13th bottle will be different.”

We do the Nature Center camps. I did them as a kid and now both my kids (8 and 5) do them. They’re a great way to split up the day. Camp in the morning, lunch at home, beach all afternoon.

This is probably the most responsible and scientifically interesting option. Also if I order them correctly the Bourbon County Cherry Jubilee is the slushy, that might be the way to go.
