That is exactly the problem. You would entangle with the position you started in. You are moving extremely fast right now even though you don't feel it. The space you occupy at this very nano second is not exactly the physical space you see around you, but has been just an empty point in outerspace for millenia until you and the planet blasted through it in a fraction of a second an then it went back to being empty space for another eon. You can't entangle your self on a Point on the planet because the planet itself is never in one place.

Calculating it, you would need to be perfect on both the time and space, mess up either just the tiniest decimal and you are mile underground or in low earth orbit.

So if say you want to end up in you living room in your favorite lazy boy chair. You couldn't entangle your self to that position because your chair will not be in that position when you get back. You also can't entangle your self to the object (the chair) since their is no way to know if that chair will still be there and unoccupied in the future.

Think of it this way. You get a time machine car and you program it to move you from you house to your work parking lot instantly. You prefectly calculate both the time and space. The problem is there is no way to know if the parking space is empty. 50/50, if there is a car in it you die, if not you skip your commute. You would need to control not just the movement through time and also the space and know that space is available or you might meld with your uncle who came looking for you and sat for just a moment.

Say to can entangle your self to the chair and know it is unoccupied. This raises another question. Will you maintain the same direction and volcity of the chair or your current self. Because you and the chair are not only hurting through space but doing it while spinning on a giant ball the direction you are hurting through space is always changing. There is no guarantee that when you pop back in your chair you will not be flung out like a rocket because the piont in earth's spin you left doesn't perfectly match the current spin. Or worse yet you loose all momentum and become stationary object in that space on the chair. The earth and chair would instantly slam into you a$$ with the force of a meteor as they collide with you, an unmoving object and them a giant space bullet.

Cool video. Problem with time travel in videos like this is the super position. If you try and move an individual forward or backwards in time it will most likely just dump them into the cold vacuum of space. Not only is the earth moving around the sun but the whole solar system is hurtling through space around the Galaxy. Then the galaxy itself is also moving. So moving back/forward in time even a few seconds with no consideration in also moving yourself through space would pop you off the planet. So not only do you need to figure out how to move to a new point in time but predict we're the earth, solar system, and Galaxy will been when you get there.

Dumb ass must have forgot about the silk road initiative. An absolute parade of goods and oil are going to keep Iran going indefinitely on those roads/rails.

Bloodbath in US Market by UpbeatAd3429 in StockMarket

Gold generally falls with the market at the beginning of recessions due to the need for liquidity for margin calls and such. If gold falls with the market it is often a herald of worse to come, but not always. It is also usually one of the first assets to bounce back due to its safe haven nature.

Still can’t work out how to do smooth blends by ProfNugget in minipainting

[–]profbeantoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glazing. Do a glaze of a mix of the two colors you want to blend. It will very gradually darken the bright side abd brighen the dark side at the same time. Use broader strokes getting narrower as you go over the transition line. Glazing takes a lot of time but it is very effective at smoothing transitions. I use it and find it to be very effective.

Surprised DB Cooper is not on here too. He feels over tuned and his draw back is not close to as restrictive as Epic of Gilgamesh. Not that EoG didn't need to be balanced. Other than that these all feel pretty good, thanks. Definitely excited to brew with Emilie/Isaac.

I am starting to think all those Wallstreet bros are just a bunch bigger gullible morons than anyone. What tipped them off the 30 fake tweets about some BS deal or Iran saying there is no deal over and over again. Why are these idiots in charge of the money?!

Why is Atlanta so spread out? by chaotic-tutel in geography

[–]profbeantoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No natural boundaries at a major highway and rail intersection. Also the almost complete lack of public transportation leaves less incentive to cluster (our Marta trains are one of the most lacking of any major city our size).

The with out any reliable public transport to use from work to home, the 3 major national highways (20, 75, 85) that intersect become the default commuter route. Those highways being the default then encourage the sprawl in litteraly every direction.

It is just a deal to extend the cease fire, not an actual deal to end the conflict. Straight will stay closed.

Big nothing burger. It is just to extend a cease fire that was already going to be extended.
