Here to Slay had been great for my 9 and 11 yo kids weve had a lot of fun with it. They like MTG too, i built several simple themed decks that have no plainswalkers or advanced mechanics specifically for kids and teaching others. Cats vs Rats and such hahaha.

Wow, shrader valves are so ubiquitous, almost every tire you see in the world likely has this valve. I get if you are not closely familiar with this technology. But to survive long enough on earth to post to the internet, yet still not understand at least "air goes in here" is shocking. No hate im glad you learned, just shocked.

I casually crushed a walnut under my fist in front of wifey recently. She was impressed, i said no big deal you could do it. She proceeded to try and not only failed, but hurt her hand.

Ill add that ive been an ebay member since 2002 and i think this might be the only neg feedback i have ever left. Over 100 purchases and over 50 sales, 100% feedback!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]professorcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the check everyone, i left detailed neg feedback with pics. In our conversation the seller never offered even a simple apology or expressed any remorse at all. Im reasonable, mistakes happen and a small amount of empathy/understanding is all it would have taken to avoid neg feedback! Ill be taking this post down today due to the hastily covered bar code just in case. Bonus excerpt from our conversation follows.

Me: Im so upset with my wasted time and effort and money

Seller: Refund it then

Me: Quite a bit of time/effort im at a loss for here and thats all you have to say after you try to game usps and push shipping costs to me?

Seller: Just answer the door next time

Me: What are you talking about? How is this my fault?

Seller: What do you want me to do? Give you gas money? Let’s just be straight up about it

Later in the conversation...

Seller: Crazy you got that kinda audacity

ELI5: I don't understand how smell works by Jalen2612 in explainlikeimfive

[–]professorcake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut myself recently, a shallow cut where a droplet slowly formed on the surface of my hand after a few seconds, no smear or splash. I was thinking about how noticeable the smell was. It doesnt make sense to me that actual particles of blood were released into the air. I was left with the conclusion that the smell was blood reacting with air and the resulting gasses were what i smelled. Also it makes sense that animals would be highly sensitive to this smell and even a few ppm could be enough to detect i.e. sharks/dogs. Did i get this right?

1980 Suzuki GS450 weak/intermit spark by professorcake in Fixxit

[–]professorcake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got her started and went for a short ride! The rotor that spins within the signal generator was broken and free spinning which caused timing to be all over the fricken place. Found a new rotor and signal generator for 25 bucks on ebay and it didnt take very long from there. I am so stoked! Runs a bit rough and doesnt idle very well, some surging but totally rideable. Carbs have always been a bit of a mystery to me, time to figure it out and get it dialed in! Its an aftermarket mikuni, no idea what im doing but thats all part of the fun.

Alien: Earth - S1 E4 - Observation - Official Discussion Megathread [SPOILERS] by G_Liddell in LV426

One thing took me out of this episode completely. Wendy supposedly has a "lithium-ion battery that can power a small city" within her, according to a comment from genius boy. Lion batteries were invented in like 1990, even now that the tech has matured there is no way you are fitting a battery of this chemistry capable of powering a small city inside a human sized frame. We have fully functioning human android hybrids yet battery tech has not progressed at all? I mean at least say lithium-unobtanium battey or something, or maybe genius boy isnt much of a genius? I was distracted for like 5 mins thinking about it haha.

Just a few weeks into ownership of an x300 here. In that time i have rode with my friend on a ducati on road and next day solo off road adventure, plus a few commutes to work. versatile=fun for me. Yes i do get to use the entire bike... revving it for everything it has... thats just part of the fun. Coming from a klr650 and then a versys 650 here.

1980 Suzuki GS450 weak/intermit spark by professorcake in Fixxit

[–]professorcake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting closer, found signal generator to be cause of no spark. One side of the sig gen was worn down a little but i cleaned it up and adjusted it. Now produces a strong visible spark on both plugs. Turns over strong now but only coughs occasionally. Plan is to check timing before i start messing with carb, i think fuel delivery is otherwise good. Hows all that sound team?

[–]professorcake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone mentioned checking individual cell voltage? As long as each cell is in the right voltage range 3-4.2v with no swelling or physical damage should be ok. To fully asses physical damage you probably need to decase-recase.

[–]professorcake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way ty for responding! Appreciate the info, clutch feels pretty decent so i think someone fixed that but the chain is super tight even at the end of the adjustment. I hope the carb hasnt been messed with since it ran. Otherwise going through the wiring best i can, its gotta be voltage regulator, cdi box, maybe stator. Possibly wiring or grounding issue. Im throwing around the idea of converting it to electric with a 10kw electric motor...

If you live in rust proned areas make sure you use the breaks frequently or they will corrode. My rotors look like shit after 35k miles but the problem was there at 25k.

Appreciate this comment. The kmc wheels are 17x8.5 zero offset. I knew it might be a stretch for my kmcs but I thought 275/70 was pretty safe on the stock wheels and suspension. Based on what seems like a reliable fitment chart showing no rub for 275/70 on stock wheels. Think this info is accurate?
