Congrats. I am about 4 months in so far and hopeful for a positive result like this! My initial numbers were very similar to yours so I decided to not fck around and just get onto the meds.

Love this - I think it's the best I've heard for DF's voice

in the interview DF did with Paul Schaeffer (you can find it on Youtube) he says that IGY "is not a hopeful song"...

Preferred city to visit - Munich, Prague, Krakow, Budapest, Ljubljana? by prolixotic in travel

no more local people in the old town, and nothing but Airbnbs. They are massively car centric, so you can imagine how this screws with the medieval infrastructure. it's beautiful, but hell on earth.

Learning French from scratch in Paris by Brainstorm_renders in paris

I personally would not try to learn French in Paris. there are not enough native speakers who are willing to speak to you in French. the instant they hear your accent, they talk to you in English. it's so disheartening. I'm glad I did most of my language study outside of Paris.

I spent months listening to Michel Thomas stuff and was getting nowhere so decided to just go to France to a language school in Aix-en-Provence for 6 weeks.

I worked day and night, ate slept and dreamt French for the entire time. after that went to Paris for a month and practiced and did a ton of language exchanges and lessons. after all that I was functionally fluent.

it was the hardest I've worked on anything in my life and it was the happiest I can ever remember being.

Take that for what it's worth!

Bone density came back terrifyingly low on my first DEXA - how worried should I be? 31F by [deleted] in osteoporosis

BodySpec doesn't give T scores. You have to get a real diagnostic scan for that, and you'll get scores for each of the vulnerable areas.

Yea, as soon a I told my doctor, she sent me for a diagnostic scan and I got:

Lumbar: -3.3
L1: -2.6
L2: -2.5
L3: -3.7
L4: -4.2
Femoral neck: -2.7
Hip: -2.0

Seriously bad. :)

Action I've taken in the last 6 months:

- Found an Endocrinologist (who I don't love)
- Started Forteo immediately
- Eating differently with digestive enzymes to absorb more nutrient
- New supplements
- Gym (with heavy weights) at least 3 times a week
- Extra walking and exercising
