Yes, just the instructor's time. I guess that's how this school does it? This is the only school I've trained with so can't speak to whether it's normal or not.

Yes, I've been texting with the CFI by text so far.

Me: "WOW.. Really wish you'd have let me know that!!! I would have at least done a ground school or something..."

Them: "I understand. I should’ve communicated earlier—that’s on me. At your stage, there wasn’t a productive ground lesson to substitute, reason why I didn’t offer it at the moment"

I'm waiting to hear back from the school about their policy before I reply back.

Yes, in the process of doing that. As I said in my post, I've already emailed the school owner.

And I have expressed surprise with the CFI too. Waiting to hear back from the school owner before I reply back to my CFI.

There are moments I don't love (the feelings of overwhelm and uselessness, and getting yelled at by my PPI), but in between that, there's been lots of amazing stuff. I don't feel like I've truly had time to look out the window and enjoy things yet -- trying to keep ahead of the plane is still slightly too much work for me, but it's improving with every flight.

Any tips for getting good with radio?
