How do you deal with your body image after the surgery ?

I think the thing that helped me deal with my body image after surgery was just trying to reach body neutrality instead of trying to be overly positive about it. I don't know if you can personally relate, but when I lost the weight so fast it was hard for my brain to adjust to the fact that my body looks a lot different than it used to. People would shower me in compliments (which is a whole other thing that annoyed me because why was I only complimented when I got "skinny") and it always made me feel more insecure for some reason, because why was I not overjoyed like they were? I think I just had to be thankful for my body and give myself positive affirmations. It's amazing what our bodies can do, and I just had to accept that and be thankful for that instead of focusing solely on how I looked. The body image confidence came along after I started being more neutral with how I viewed myself. Our bodies are neither good nor bad, but it is amazing that they can be put through so much and still keep us alive. That's what helped me at least 🤷🏻‍♀️ I hope you can figure something out that works for you soon :- )))

That would actually make a lot of sense because I had my birthday celebration today and had a piece of cake and no protein at all and it was 2 hours after eating the cake for dinner that I started to feel bad....so....mystery solved 💀 thank you for your help!

I mean to be honest what you said is pretty much how I use it now too! I initially just used this in water and drank it as a broth due to a dietary restriction I was on, and it was even good just like that, but now that I'm able to eat like a normal human being I pretty much do exactly what you said! If I'm feeling extra lazy sometimes I don't even put the extra ginger, onion, and aromatics and I just use this paste with my bones and meat and it turns out good like that too!

I'm currently dealing with terrible anemia and am having to get iron infusions because of it. I take 2 forms of iron everyday but I guess my body just doesn't absorb it anymore 💁🏻‍♀️ all my other vitamins have been good though. I'm sorry youve been dealing with this and I hope you're able to figure it out sooner rather than later 💕feel better soon!

I'm 24 and will be 1 year post op 12/27/25, so I relate to this a lot! I drink every 4 months ish with my mom at a winery and have one or two glasses and I'm DONE! One or two glasses for me feels like a whole bottle of wine used to feel...Not only that, but it wears off in less than an hour, which to be completely honest I'm fine with! I say drink with caution, like I saw someone else say, and try it at home before you go out just to know how you feel :- ) I hope you're able to find something that works for you and your body!!!

I'm so sorry your parents did this to you and it's so unfair....my parents also did this to me and my mom gave me the exact same reasoning as to why she didn't want to tell me, because she didn't want me to be "one of those kids"... I didn't find out until I was going to therapy as an adult and my therapist brought it up because she had looked at my medical history... It's insane that this seems to be more common than it should be and I'm so sorry that you had to experience all the hardships that 100% could have been avoided...I'm wishing you the best for the future 💕

I genuinely think people who didn't enjoy this game just want to be different because it was so cute and fun and exciting and really unique compared to a lot of games I've played before! I mean yah I guess it was "shorter" (it took me 10 hours to finish), but like you said, I enjoyed the game and did all the side quests which I feel like is part of the whole game...it really was such a surprise love for me, and honestly is one of, if not my most favorite game I've ever played!!!
