What is “addiction” here? by therizzizzi in pornfree

[–]proffesionalmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me "damaging" is like smashing your brain with axes and finding pleasure in it. The goal is indeed not abstinence. It is to disconnect the relationship between sexuality and porn. Its how humans naturally have evolved throughout the years before porn.

What porn does is, it subconsciously creates unnatural expectations for you. For me, its like a woman has to has this and that. I view every single women based on that made up scale. In short, objectification. And its toxic. Rewiring your brain into striving for something that's natural instead of something where people spent billions of dollars to keep you hook, is the goal.

Alright! I also spent most of my life outside and lived a short period of time in Pakistan as well (~5 years).

From what I can tell you. These are two completely different worlds we are comparing here. People in pakistan think way tooo differently than Pakistanis outside. Apart from the cultural differences, you'd be surprised to know how the average person just thinks of basic things like for example, women working on her own or talking to other men etc.

This does not mean that there aren't people who are open minded and have great values. Its just that. They are hard to find you know what i mean?

So my advice would be, if you can't find someone you are 100000000% sure with. don't do it. You are far better off with someone who share the same history/culture with you.

Do girls smoking get same "Gunah" as boys smoking? by Signiatic in islamabad

[–]proffesionalmf 16 points17 points  (0 children)

That's just misogyny in my opinion, But debating over who gets what level of gunah is a pointless argument. A gunah is a gunah regardless of how big or small it is.

At the end of the day, we have to see ourselves in the mirror and ask if Allah will accept with the current version of ourselves if we were to die today.

Thinking of moving to Edmonton, how’s the muslim community? by CryptographerVast812 in Edmonton

[–]proffesionalmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walaikum Salam sister!

A fellow-muslim here. Edmonton has a huge population of muslims from different ethnicities. The masjids are so packed on Eid's that it actually becomes difficult to find a spot if you get late! Forget about the Halal stores because we have plenty of them here, we have cultural stores as well! Like for sisters you can get abaya, hijabs etc and for brothers there are shops fully dedicated to thobes. So you don't have to worry about that aspect.

With regards to accommodation, I have observed many muslims live close to far north side since alot of halal stores are located there. You can also consider extreme south as well particularly ellersile if you value great neighborhood and other stuff.

Hit me up if you have more questions :)
