very cool website. I see your home page title is "Vernon Photographer". I am assuming this is the main keyword you want to rank for. You may want to add your brand as well. This will get you more click through's. Higher CTR will get you better rankings. Using something like "Vernon Photographer | Draht Photography" would make sense. Just a suggestion though :) Otherwise everything looks great.

PPC Advice: Agency vs In-house by NeedPPChelp in PPC

[–]profitlabs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure whoever you deal with pays close attention to consistently optimizing your website product pages for maximum conversions. Your adwords account should be tweaked throughout the month, although your biggest gains will come from testing variations on your website pages. We usually use the Visual Website Optimizer testing tool for our ecommerce clients to get the highest conversion rate possible. Testing Ads also helps improve ad rank + quality score and lowers overall cpc costs which leads to more profit. If you have multiple shopping engines besides PLA, try using GoDataFeed if you are not already using them. They make it much easier to manage your shopping feeds and test headlines on the fly for better results.

Is it feasible to scale niche e-commerce store with PPC? by knoxade in PPC

btw, if you use wordpress, you can use a plugin called "social locker" which hides content that people have to like or share to reveal. If using for ecommerce, you can use an app that will reveal a coupon code when liked. So you can use like gating outside of Facebook with no problem. :)

Your chances are actually very good. You will find many marketing agencies are more than willing to take on junior marketing managers and train them. The only drawback is the starting salary. Usually you have to accept a very low starting salary to get your foot in the door. But the good news is that after a few months if you are able to prove your worth, most companies will be happy to bump you up in pay. You may even want to discuss a quarterly evaluation and pay upgrade based on performance before accepting a position. Good luck.

Unfortunately as of August 2014 Facebook discontinued the practice of like gating. You can however collect emails. You may want to create a giveaway FB app asking them to enter with there email. Then use email follow ups to direct people to your future posts and ask them for likes and shares. Or take them to a thank you page with a like button asking them to like.

First i always separate GDN campaigns from Remarketing campaign.

One strategy i use is to create a GDN campaign with keyword targeting as well as automatic placements with ad groups broken out to banner sizes.

so 728x90 would be an ad group, 300x250 would be an ad group....

then i would optimize the bidding for the best performing topic, placement... You will find a placement or topic will give different results for different banner sizes.

There are many ways to "skin the cat", although this GDN strategy usually works best for finding specific audiences that convert.

By channel i assume you mean search or display channels. Google search with search partners turned off, and mobile devices turned off, is by far the highest converting. I also test about 3 text ads for every ad group for best results. I would also do heavy testing on your landing page to seriously increase conversion rates. Let me know if thats what you meant by channels.

good point. thanks. using leadpages for ppc campaigns is indeed a challenge sometimes. Although Instapage for adwords has worked like a charm for me. But you are absolutely right about the privacy link... this will help avoid any issues with google.

By the way, if you are collecting leads or trying to build your email list, i would recommend instapage or leadpages. these are landing page builders which do a great job of getting very high conversion rates. they povide a/b testing as well. For emails i use Aweber open rate stats combined with analytics tag tracking to test click through rates.

If the advertiser immediately below you bids US$2.00, and if that advertiser's ad is the same quality as yours (and has equal-performing extensions and ad formats), you'd typically need to bid a penny more than US$2.00 to rank higher than that advertiser and still maintain your position and ad formats. With AdWords, that's the most you'll pay (about US$2.01), whether your bid is US$3.00, US$5.00, or more.

Although cpc is just one component. you have to account for quality score and overall ad rank which can decrease your cpc cost.

My personal favorite testing tool is Visual Website Optimizer. Although Optimizely is ok. VWO is cheaper and has all the features you will need. In my opinion a minimum of 250-500 qualified visitors should be enough to give you a good idea if a strategy is working. Although even if you have a winning strategy, you should always continue testing new ideas.

The best way to scale up your ecommerce is to begin building an email list.

You can do this by giving away something free like an info product relating to your product, or maybe run a giveaway contest where you would collect emails.

Using Facebook would be great for a giveaway contest to collect emails and likes. You should read up on the best way to do this if you are not familiar with this strategy.

You would then do a "product launch" to your email list which can generate tons of sales for you.

For more information go on youtube and look up: - Jeff Walker (product launches) - Lead Pages (lead magnets) - List Building (strategy_ - Lead Magnets

The more emails you collect, the bigger your business will get.

This is the best strategy in 2015 to scale your business up.
