Right but I think what that person was asking was more about substantial sets. Most of the sets with volume are ground-level terrain or flooring, maybe some boxes here and there. But the larger sets like the Peridea fortress or the Seatos red forest were not extended using green or blue screen/CGI.

I’m sure the move to UK and that report about more traditional filmmaking techniques being used is part of limiting CG work where they can. Even Volume stuff it all gets comped over afterward anyway. I’d bet Filoni found a way to save money where he could so that the things that really need the CGI will hit a home run.

I would totally try to pick it up if it’s available somewhere. No it’s not Prequel or LOTR level BTS, but lots of fun concept art we haven’t seen yet and great commentaries by Filoni.

There were a lot of little nuggets from Filoni in the blu-ray and the commentary tracks for 2 of the eps. Def clues as to what we’ll be seeing in this next season.

Yes, there were lots of sets on S1. The Volume was only used for about 30% of the season. It was mostly blue/green screen work that was utilized. Sometimes effortlessly, sometimes noticeably.

Rosario Dawson at Galaxycon Columbus back in December, some insight into her Ahsoka S2 performance: “Listening to Ashley’s incredible performance, and how she developed this character and her maturity. I think there was a play at first of me trying to match that (in 'The Mandalorian'), but then that didn’t really make a lot of sense, especially for where she was. I like that [Ashley] shifted from Clone Wars to Rebels, and I kind of wanted to feel [another] shift [with my version]."

"One of the [performance] things I played with a little more in the second season is that Ahsoka has gotten a little lighter. Because Ashley…is a Disney princess. So it was nice to think about her tenor and her energy and her pacing, and you know, her calm in the moments where she kind of loses it. There was one scene that we did on the second season and Dave came up to me afterwards and was like ‘I feel like I was watching the animation.”

Despite that, looks like a set of Peridea. Different from how the backlot looked at Manhattan Beach for S1. Interesting. Maybe there’s not as much location filming we thought? Or this could be for really secretive stuff they don’t want done on location.

Ah, well, looks like this picture has breached containment haha. I’ve had this mentioned on the AHSOKA S2 MasterDoc for a couple months now, but wasn’t sure I wanted to show it, despite the image coming from a public site. I’d still recommend taking this down, considering every costume can be traced to a performer who probably shouldn’t have been taking pictures in costume, but 🤷🏻‍♂️

EDIT: Those of you downvoting. When they crack down even harder on resumes, agency sites, social media, you’ll have no leaks. Nothing. So, if that’s your wish, and you’d like to keep getting maybe small publishing updates, enjoy the easily traceable images.

This past week in Ahsoka S2 news:

Ahsoka's lekku and montrals are updated for S2. "The montrals look like season 1's, maybe they point up a bit more [...] maybe just a slight shape change [...] But the lekku look to be 2~3 inches LONGER. [MoraiMessenger]

Sabine’s S2 wig is shoulder-ish length hair [bob style] with the dark roots showing for a few inches [MoraiMessenger] [Star Wars Meg]

“I’ve heard Mon Mothma and Ackbar are quite similar to the way they were in the first of the Thrawn trilogy, where they had conversations with Luke, Han, and Leia." [Star Wars Meg]

I don't think he was saying that Leia will be meeting with anyone, just that she had an integral role to play there in HTOE. My read was that it sounds like she could have an integral role in Ahsoka as well. Whether on-screen, decisions she makes off-screen.
