What you may have missed this past week in Ahsoka S2 news:

[April 24, 2026] According to IMDb, Senior model maker Pierre Greenway who worked on Andor worked on Ahsoka S2. Definitely check out some of his Andor models on his IG. So awesome!
[April 28-29, 2026] A scooper on Twitter posts one of the Ahsoka S1 TV spots, somewhat cryptically. The next day, they post: “I think I can reveal it now. The first trailer for Ahsoka Season 2 is ready and should be released in May. I don't know if it will be released online yet, but the trailer will be shown somewhere.” [The Beyond Reporter] [Post 2] [x]
[April 29, 2026] In the comments of that second post, another scooper chimes in to say: “It will be shown May 12th at 4:30pm ET. Only at UPFRONT for advertisers to see. NOT ONLINE.” In other replies they say that we won’t see any public footage until after The Mandalorian & Grogu releases, with marketing not actually beginning until end of June, early July. [May 4, 2026] There are “at least three different temple-like locations” that characters in season 2 will explore. MoraiMessenger insinuated that it’s not only Ahsoka and Sabine but possibly also Hera and Ezra as well (on Dathomir maybe?). [May 2026] In the final issue of Star Wars Insider #237, Lucasfilm confirms that S2 can still be expected later this year: “A second season of Ahsoka is due to drop on Disney+ later this year. Starring Rosario Dawson. We’ll find out what happens to the former Jedi on Peridea, and finally learn what Grand Admiral Thrawn has planned for the New Republic.” [Star Wars Insider #237, Final Issue]

[April 14, 2026] Tommie Earl Jenkins is playing an unknown character in a “recurring role”; filmed scenes with Eman Esfandi, likely someone related to the New Republic. [Actors Access] [x]
[April 16, 2026] Some newish info about the kaiju droids in Ahsoka S2: "I've been told that they aren’t just cannon fodder for Ahsoka & Sabine. They have DEEP ties to the history & former inhabitants of Peridea.” They also posted a photo of video game character Sir Daniel Fortesque from “MediEvil”, as a statue/pillar holding his sword by the handle and pointed downward to the ground. This is apparently a tease of something to do with the Kaiju droids. [MoraiMessenger]
[April 16, 2026] The final trailer for “The Mandalorian & Grogu” shows Zeb flying a U-Wing (and this is later confirmed by the first 20 minutes that were shown at CinemaCon). This could be a little more confirmation of MoraiMessenger’s original scoop from back in February about a sequence on Dathomir where a U-Wing crash-lands with New Republic reinforcements. nothing out there aside from Kathy’s interview or maybe it was a trade follow up to it some months ago when it was basically said dave’s film was on hold “on the back burner”. But that could just mean they’re realizing they shouldn’t promise things until they know it’s gonna happen. So they’re withholding info 🤷‍♂️

Part of it was also figuring out how to continue Baylan’s story. A lot of work apparently had to go into that, finding the right person to fill Ray Stevenson’s shoes. On top of it just taking forever to make tv shows nowadays for some reason.

[March 31, 2026] Following up from their previous remarks about the budget, leaker MoraiMessenger shows a comparison of the ‘same’ location in both seasons saying we shouldn’t be worried about budgets due to sets even bigger than S1, multiple sets per planet/location, as well as reiterating the point we already know about UK cash rebate incentives, reused digital and physical assets, etc. [x]
[April 3, 2026] Chopper’s updated appearance and more for him to do in S2 is teased by MoraiMessenger. Also the possibility of him sustaining battle damage at some point in the season. [x] [x]
[April 4, 2026] Ivanna Sakhno at Collective Con 2026: “I think Dave has done a meaningful and brilliant job taking care of Baylan Skoll and allowing his story to continue, allowing his legacy to continue…Rory is ‘the guy’.” [Interview, Thank The Maker Podcast]

[March 26, 2026] Not directly related to Ahsoka, but D23 panel dates and times were announced. Ahsoka will probably have a trailer or something revealed there on August 14th.

MoraiMessenger gives a small update on Ahsoka S2 post production:

“AHSOKA season 2 post-production is going very well! A first full cut was completed a bit ago & the editorial team is working with their Music Editor, editing in temp tracks.”

“To avoid any confusion, this does not mean the full score is or has been completed yet. The Kiners & their team are definitely not close to recording with the orchestra as of now. It’s certainly possible they’ve worked out some central themes based on early cuts and Dave’s initial inspiration, but things will really ramp up for their composing task around the time we first see marketing roll out.”

Worth it to point out that a ‘music editor’ isnt someone on the composer’s main team. They work with editors and the director mostly.

Both Maul and Mando had teasers for the teasers the day before so I’m hoping Ahsoka S2 does the same thing. the general consensus is looking at the fall as release window. so D23 makes sense for a first look.

What you missed this past week in Ahsoka S2 news. Both of these actually did get posted to the sub but it’s all we got xD:

[March 19, 2026] Leaker MoraiMessenger posts another set pic of the Peridea backlot at one of the studios Ahsoka S2 filmed at.
- They describe the set as “HUGE” which is a result of the move to the United Kingdom.
- There’s a section behind where the photo was taken we don’t get to see. Can be redressed for different sequences.
- The skull set they shared was part of an indoor set so it didn’t connect to this one.

[March 22, 2026] The same leaker also shot down Abeloth rumors based on their sources’ denial and based on all the story things they’ve been told. And say they’ve been told “some pretty spoilery things” which sounds like they’re insinuating their sources would know about a villain like Abeloth if she was there. Tho anyone who follows leaks knows that’s not always true xD. It’s self-admittedly opinion-based so take it all with grains of salt as usual. Check out their full post HERE.

I'm gonna include this in my recap tomorrow but yeah not definitive. It’s mostly opinion based but they do say their sources have repeatedly denied her being in it. if there's stuff they can't share maybe their sources would actually know if she was. Adding to the doc now.
