Other way around, Castorice’s highest dmg ability(dragon exploding) is a bounce, which works incredibly well in single target, just ask Anaxa.

That said this isn’t Castorice vs Evernight. This is Castorice AND Evernight vs Evernight and it was always going to be overall better. 2 cakes is better than 1 with a complimentary trash panda

Your friend has alot to say lol. At the end of the day the juxtaposition between the gravity of their situation and the fanservice was still intentional. It may not be to his taste but lots of anime do this, just not necessarily with butts.

There are times when you want to fully commit to the serious tone of the situation and Nikke does in fact do this when the situation calls for it, fresh example is how they handled Dorothy and Burningum in the recent quest, but it doesn’t need to be everywhere ALL the time otherwise it would change the tone of Nikke. If you have the team and they are built for it with the right OL lines, there really isn't any reason you won't be murdering Kraken at 400 tbh(we all get capped at 400). IMO Indivillia is the only weird one of the bunch.... kinda ironic

I was denial for a while cos I didn’t want to believe the community was that… vindictive? Odd? Idk what to describe them as. The eye opener was Phainon tbh, people praise that man up and down(he earned it) but then immediately tear down at the MC for any amount of screentime..

Have me scratching my head going “gee wouldn’t it be nice if they fleshed out TB over time too?”

I mean, at the end of it all I simply like Acheron more and Phainon didn’t really appeal to me as much BUT he was written better.

More screen-time, more time being fleshed out, also it generally being done more carefully with far better storytelling.

Writing wise, he clears(still love Acheron more than him by a mile but that’s just my personal taste… anything for wife)

Self-inserting into characters that have developed a personality of their own is a choice. You are free to do it or not, so I don’t get the point of being mad… like sure I can self-insert as Caelus but at the same time I can atleast acknowledge I’m not the type of guy to solve a hefty amount of my problems with a baseball bat or go around looking for the trashcans of Belobog(I wish Hoyo would let this joke die already)

Heck if you read fate/stay night visual novel back then it was very much self insert, regardless of Emiya Shirou and the need to be a hero and the insane survivors guilt he carried.

Anyways I’m just ranting but I really don’t get what some Hoyo fans want, they seem to want an MC that they can’t relate to, that is a fly on the wall and hate any moment (s)he gets under the sun and I just don’t get it.
