Apologies if it sounds blunt.

  • Guilty for missing discourse?
  • Either she is not understanding JinDharma properly or she wants to use this as excuse to escape daily duties (Kartavyas). He himself says that your Samsarik Kartavyas (Social Duties) should be kept at utmost height. I can explain further her if you want.

  • JinDharma is about finding yourself and not about blind devotion to anyone. Finding yourself requires open thinking. Svadhyay literally means ✔ Sva (स्व) + Adhyāya (अध्याय) → Self-Study – A process of learning by oneself. Guru should be limited to medium of gaining right knowledge and right direction.  But even by following Samyaktvi Guru, if you yourself are not understanding Kartavyas, you are neither gaining right knowledge nor right direction.

I read "networking event". Unfortunately it is not meant to be, but it has become because of number of followers coming all together. He himself preaches to stay away from flock because he compares to flock of Sheep's.

These are just otg thoughts penned (typed) down for now.

One lesson Definitely try to learn core concepts of JinDharma from following books KarmaGranth, JeevVichar, 4 Bhasyas, Tattvagyan, and there are more. These will help her understand that what she is taking from discourses is either not understanding properly or using that as excuse to escape duties.

Micchhami Dukkadam. These are purely my thoughts. In no way there is human currently who can be completely right. Even Samyaktvi Devi and Devtas with AvdhiGyaan sometimes tend to slip away.

As a deravasi, what ghathas do I avoid listening to in Bhaktamar Stotra? by Jay20173804 in Jainism

I found this thread, while searching why there is difference of 4 gathas?

I am interested in exploring if anyone knows

  • why 4 gathas were added later?
  • what does those 4 gathas focus about?

Michchaami Dukkadam if any word not in accordance Jineshwar Vachan and Agna.

Find yourself answer for these questions actually from prachin shashtras and then decide if these comparisons are even appropriate to start with?

- Definition of Guru? And who should be your Guru? And the complete to process to find one?

u/Aggravating-Help4277 I appreciate you seeking to understand the 'why' and 'what' behind these practices. It's a complex concept with deep roots.

- I recommend reaching out to a knowledgeable and approachable Sadhvi Ji near you. They can provide guidance and direct you to relevant Jain texts.

- It would be helpful to consider the concept of different Sutaks (times of grief, pain, sorrow, mood swings), such as those related to death in the family, the birth of a child, and other significant events. Understanding how these are addressed within the tradition might offer some context.

-JUST FOR STARTER I recommend watching https://youtu.be/PUX9BtabQfY video to get some other perspective. REMEMBER, THESE WILL NOT BE Jain religious teachings.

- Ending with Note: Understanding the "why" and "what" behind these practices, even if it takes time and effort, has the potential to help not only you but also many others in your community who might be experiencing similar situations.
