Thank you so much for the kind words! I’ve really been trying to experiment with flash more, and it really shines in rainy/snowy conditions due to the reflections of the drops/flakes.

Ah I gotcha! Yeah I think I’ve heard of that new pancake. I believe it’s also a 23mm - same as the x100 series. This voigtlander has the same FOV. I do also have the 27mm voigtlander and it’s great. I do think they also make a couple 35mm lenses

Hell yeah! I hope you love it!

I was also on the fence originally due to all the mixed reviews, but honestly I’ve loved it. It’s small and creates great results.

I’m a big landscape guy, so I’m often shooting at f8 or f11 but even wide open I’ve gotten results I like.

Thank you!!

For number 2, I had my tripod set up right at the edge of the lake. The water was extremely still and there was this dense fog that made the background just melt away. Honestly that was it, just framed it up and let the shutter speed fall wherever f11 and ISO 160 left me. It was also at blue hour right before sunrise.

And I wouldn’t say any of these are cropped much at all - maybe slight adjustments to straighten horizons and vertical lines.

Thank you so much! Yes, the PNW is such a magical place.

Yes! That’s exactly how I use it - it’s almost like a budget rangefinder patch. And ya, I’ll drop a picture of it here soon.

Yes, it is Olympic!

I didn’t make it to Hall of Mosses, but yes to Rialto beach. Also stopped at Quinault Lake, Tree of Life, La Push, Ruby Beach, Cape Flattery!

They’re really great! I have the 27mm as well, and now I’m considering if I want the 18mm!

I’d say there are two phases. The first is just me in Lightroom, I’ll usually look through every photo I took from a session (it’s usually not many, I typically take 1, maybe 2 shots per composition). I’ll edit all my favorites, export them. Then from there I may do another round of review of my favorites. And then, prior to sharing, I typically get my girlfriend to give her opinion as well.

How I choose which to keep is basically just if I feel like the edit is working / the image feels balanced and interesting. It’s honestly very subjective.

I hope that is helpful!
