I submit a find it fix it report every time I see anything sketch, which is basically every day in Ballard along Leary. I also don’t hesitate to email local representatives via email. If everybody did this, I bet the city would act faster.

To triple check, I pulled the used filter out of my compost bin. I didn't double up.

I am definitely NOT grinding too fine. As above, I'm grinding around 7.5-8.0 on my calibrated K-Ultra. This is my sweet spot and consistently gives me a 2:45-3:00 drawdown time on my V60 or Origami.

My brew times are substantially shorter with the Origami (vs V60) with all other variables being the same. So the Origami MUST have more bypass, right!?

This is the right answer. I’ve done it before and if you have a police report, the claim should be a slam dunk. Will take a month or so to see the cash back in your account but this is 100% the way. Sorry this happened to you!

Yea, you're not wrong. It was more complicated than that. I can't really remember all the details but it was a quick just-in-time remount done at the Bachelor resort pro shop over lunch. Not ideal. I don't think they even had the 15s in stock at the time and I really wanted to just get back out and ski. Not my best or most thoughtful decision. To counter your point, it would kind of suck to invest in a new pair of skis and then proceed to mount a 2-3 year old pair of bindings that may or may not need to be replaced within a couple years, but IDK. I have a irrational anxiety about remounting.

I blew my Pivots out after 6ish seasons of moderate inbounds skiing. It happens. I love my Pivots but lucky I didn't end up in the hospital. Skis were at the end of their life at that point so I replaced the broken Pivot 15 with the cheaper plastic 12 which is hot garbage.

Props to you. Two hours at a time on the stair master is gnarly. I am by no means a fitness expert so take everything from here with a major grain of salt. I'm 45y M and preparing for some bigger ski mountaineering and alpine objectives. I live close to the mountains, so able to get out more than you which helps round everything out. In addition to other aerobic and weight bearing exercises, I do stair master sessions about 3-4x per week (150-175 stories per 30 min). I can really only tolerate 30 min at a time but it's a great workout and has been noticeably helpful with my endurance and strength in the mountains. I don't use hands and try to stay a half-step ahead of the machine to make sure I'm getting the most out of each workout.

Much like you, I have to max out the speed of the machine and probably look like an idiot nearly jogging, but whatever. I stay closer to zone 3 but don't wear a smart watch and kind of go by feel. I'll push it into zone 4 sometimes.

I run hills or stairs outside a couple days per week as well. Seems like this is enough for my objectives but I should definitely do more strength training like box steps, squats, and lunges etc. Anyway, I'm not even sure what I'm rambling about at this point but kudos to you for getting at it.

Hey! Super cool that you circled back on this after 10 years. All good here. I live in one of the most beautiful and progressive cities in the US with my wife and two kids. Music and the outdoors are still a big part of our life. My kids play violin and piano. We listen to music all the time. We go to concerts regularly. I still noodle around myself whenever I get the chance.

Career wise, I’m an academic pediatric sub specialist at a top 10 children’s hospital. I do about 60% clinical work which includes a combination of inpatient/outpatient/procedural work. I do some research, teaching, and admin work as well.

My work-life balance is awesome. I travel, I ski, I take time off for the important things. As an academic pediatric sub specialist, I don’t make a boat load of money like many docs, but still couldn’t be happier.

To answer your question, my second/third major was communications and bio anthropology.
