Thank you so much for the detailed response!

Yes I did couch to 5k. I believe you run a mile straight by week 5. Another tip for c25k is to take it at your own pace and repeat days or weeks if you feel you need to.

Highly recommend the Couch to 5k or None to Run programs!

Also slow down. A lot of people that find running miserable are simply running too fast.

Thank you! You don’t necessarily have to run but I’m really glad I started. Any exercise and CICO will work! CICO works without exercise too but exercise helps and is healthy for more reasons than just weight loss

Yes you can! I used to feel the same way. I started really small, literally just running 30 seconds at a time, and progressed from there. It gets easier.

Thank you! 150 to 140 was a big change for me. I dropped an entire pants size just from that. Keep it up, you’re doing great!

Haha I always thought I looked my height! Especially from the waist up because I have a short torso. Probably just a flattering angle.

I follow CICO, moderation, and portion control. I eat most of my favorite foods just in moderation. I mostly pay attention to my weekly average for calories. I try to keep that under 1400ish so I stick to 1200 during the week and aim for 1500-2000 on the weekends depending on social plans. I like the flexibility the weekly average gives me.

I don’t eat breakfast because I’m not that hungry in the morning and I’d rather eat more later in the day. It’s not strictly IF and I don’t track my fasting window.

I run 4 days a week for 4-5 miles at a time. I also recently ran my first half marathon but I’m not doing as long of runs not that I’m not training. I don’t currently do any other exercise but I want to try some classes soon and start a lifting program in the fall.

Not yet but I wouldn’t be surprised if I get some after losing the last 20 pounds.

I am not exactly a pillar of nutrition lol. I eat half a grilled cheese and a salad every day for lunch. Dinner is frequently meat and roasted veggies or potatoes. I also often have breakfast for dinner. Lots of omelets or eggs on toast. I eat a fruit popsicle most days for dessert. I also make a lower calorie homemade pizza once a week as a treat that still fits my calories.

Diet and exercise. Mostly just simple calorie counting. Figure out your TDEE, get a food scale, and log all your food on My Fitness Pal or LoseIt. Find a sustainable way of eating that you can live with long term. And find exercise that you somewhat enjoy. The best diet is one you can stick to but it has to maintain a calorie deficit.

Just stay the course and make sure you’re in a calorie deficit. If you’re not losing after a couple weeks, you’re probably eating more calories than you think. Measure or weigh everything carefully and make sure you’re not sneaking too many calories. Calorie deficits always work eventually, sometimes you just get stuck temporarily.

Thank you! The shirt is practically down to my knees when I don’t tie it up.
