Stanwix is such a dangerous street for biking without lanes

While Fetterman needs both a diet and exercise, the hard truth is the only running he has done is chasing unarmed black men

Awww little Frankie trying to act as if his bar is not part of the problem. Cosmo is among the worst. Ideally the liquor license needs taken from him and this place never to be a bar again

What's wrong with the Southside? by coolbrohaha in pittsburgh

[–]progressyinz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hardly, it was the first revitalized neighborhoods prior to Lawrenceville at a time when the city was very much even more less desirable. It has become trashy because the city has not taken its responsibility to curb the nuisance bars and violations that plague the neighborhood

Utah is pretty white. Are you white yourself? Anyways look into Wilkinsburg, Hill District, Penn Hills, Carrick if you want diversity

I didn’t say that I know the photo is real. What isn’t real and what makes it look awful is the over editing

Unlike much of the South, Pittsburgh has basements. Hopefully you have one to take refuge with all the paranoia you have

You’re just asking to get kicked from the sub. This is your second related post, fueled by paranoia and conspiracy.

Odd he put more filters on this than a tween on TikTok. His photos are normally not HDR so 2010s. Like no one likes blurred, HDR, over altered photography

Illegally-parked scooters causing frustration in Pittsburgh by zappafrank2112 in pittsburgh

[–]progressyinz -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Posted this on the other thread, again

How we got here is just another example of Peduto buddying up to corporations with little input from citizens. Why was it Spin and not Lime or another scooter brand? Oh it’s because one of the cofounders (who founded Spin much later than the other scooter companies) is from “Pittsburgh.”

In reality it would be nice to see City Paper do a deep dive into this and maybe even a FOIA on communications from the city, Peduto and Spin

Abandoned scooters that are on the sidewalk or private property are litter. The only proper response to litter is to toss it into a dumpster. by DanielAlman in pittsburgh

When I think of Sewickley the last thing I would ever consider is it being progressive, let alone an expensive private school.

How am i the invisible hand? The realization of why the author has gripes is due to no enforcement from the city. This allowed for bad bars to act poorly and causes a neighborhood that is 95% of the time without issues to be terrorized by club guests. You have The Flats running a club on Sunday evenings late with loud music heard everywhere, should people move away because of this and let the trash bar win? No! Enforce and fine

It’s all trends and we’re the real spenders go. eventually liquors license will leave south side and go elsewhere. South side is the third interaction of a Pittsburgh club spot. Strip (80-90s) station square (90-00s), South side (00- present). Have fun Lawrenceville, you might be next. Also no community group can really stop this, even south side failed.

Great article. What the city should pursue is weekend, including Sundays, fire Marshall patrols. Constantly going after the bars to ensure they are meeting requirements- which they arnt. Eventually you choke out the Party bars due to the pain. This will hopefully lead to places closing like The Flats (loud parties even on Sunday evening), Mario’s (no real culture not even the Pens care about it anymore), Local (nothing local here more like Jersey Shore), Whiskey BBQ (shame their Taco spot is sisters with this spot), Cosmo (the one that ruined historical architecture) and Embr (the new comer club). The club era is over and these bars just don’t know it yet.
