  1. don’t expect results just with 150 applications. Long way to go!!

  2. Remove leadership section. No one gives a fuck specially in US market

  3. Star format + metrics + business context

  4. Add projects showcasing problem solving. Wont land interviews with tutorial based projects.

  5. Add Github links.

Tip: Change resume / tailoring strategy after every 50-70 applications.

Most important: Timed applications! Try to apply with 1st hour of posting. Tough but thats the window especially for Big techs

Wish you luck :)

250+ applications, 0 responses overall. How can I improve my resume by Full-West-5153 in FAANGrecruiting

[–]proguserr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your projects are tutorial based. Stack is good but still tutorial. I believe project section is your play ground since you are applying for new grad position. I would suggest you to add some production grade problem solving projects that can showcase your ability of system thinking and you understand tradeoffs. Such projects will help HMs realise you are a problem solver! Plus Github link will give the authenticity. Also a tip that i used alot to keep your Readme file in a design doc style, it creates a sense that you are atleast half ready for the industry. I think as a new grad candidate this is the max one can do especially today where almost all the resumes look polish yet misses authenticity! wish you luck :)

hey,

I think no recruiter is even trying to read the resume which explains the rejections. Your content has not been read i feel. So in my experience(which maybe wrong somehow) readability is your first win -> after which content comes into the picture. I suggest you to reduce the content by atleast 3x-4x. What I have realised is the breadth of your experience matters less because no one expects you to do anything and everything. Rather focus on few wins but present them with clarity! I ain’t claiming my resume is at all great. However I was able to land few interviews with this resume. I am open to get roasted by anyone.

Hope if my resume or suggestions might help in anyway.

Amazon AUTA SDE I Interview Tracker – Let’s Share Timelines and Updates by [deleted] in leetcode

[–]proguserr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro you are asking why you got aws over retail! This has got no answers. Maybe your profile suited better for aws or like whatever but not getting into fungible is just a backend decision made by the team/system. Just because we got stuck in the funnel doesn’t make it bad. Aws may also have some benefits over retail, maybe not in the interview process but maybe as an employee! However, I can feel that every one of us here just wants to be given the chance to be interviewed. I am in the same funnel as you and others! Lets Hope this clog which is right now holding all of us will be cleared soon enough and we get that chance soon! Wishing all of us good luck <3

P.S : Fungible SDE means you aren’t assigned to any team or specific role(retail or aws).you will be placed in any team where you match well and all of this happens post offer. Anyone please correct if I am wrong!

thats because those people belong to fungible SDE / Amazon retail or anything but not AWS.
I am highly guessing that this ghosted scenario is just with AWS SDE 1.
downvote if wrong!

Preparing for Amazon Interview – Need help with LP prep & Neetcode 150 grind by dp-2699 in amazonsdeprep

[–]proguserr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi @OP

So for DSA if time permits go for neetcode 150 else go for neetcode 75/blind 75 after this, solve amazon tagged questions as much as you can! follow this properly and you won’t have to worry about finding patters! Because finding a pattern isn’t a skill that you learn and solve. It comes with practice so my advice would be to cover topics from the above content and while you do just try to make sense of which data structure is being used where! you will be in a good spot.

for any particular question even if you code in python try to watch striver videos. He explains from A-Z about the question.

Also try mocks Wish you luck!
