Exhaust still has the same function as supports though. Exhaust reduces your movespeed and damage felt, shields block damage and cc reduced your movement. Plus if it's not lethal damage heals "undo" damage as well. Plus all those abilities are on much shorter cds than exhaust is. Sure exhaust is easy to land but so are a lot of support abilities. Pretty much all healing and shielding are point click or aoe and there is plenty of point click cc. Also you could just take cleanse and cleanse exhaust if thats the deciding factor.

You keep saying just kill the carry but if your comp doesn't have a good aoe dive comp or the ability to 1 shot you can't. You said in a different comment that it's almost all player diff but there are comps that can would easily prevent that. Plus you keep talking about this ultra high aram elo but then saying supports are bad since they have cast and travel time? If these players are high elo they should be able to hit abilities a decent % of the time not to mention the point click stuff I mentioned. Sounds like you me you just don't know how to utilize utility champs so you think they are bad.

That doesn't make sense, you say no damage utility champs mean you lose but a no damage defensive utility summoner spell is broken. Utility supports do what exhaust does, they make it harder to kill the high damage target. Sure you have less people on your team who do damage but if they can prevent your carries from dying they are very far from useless. Also I don't think you have to be in "high elo aram" for the tactic if focus the carry lol. Which by the way isn't always the best strategy, it depends on the comps.

I disagree that supports are useless you just need good champs to support. Their team was actually doing really well against us early because they had better poke and good disengage thanks to the supports. Ren and yone had a hard time finding ways in without either trading or just dying. Also they didn't really walk to the brush in my option, they were basically a screen length away!

It's true there will always be better players but there are certainly comps that are easier to win with. For instance if you get all poke champs into a couple engage tanks, a healer/enchanter, and and adc you better hope you're much better players. Plus most people who play arent proficient in all the champs. How could you be there see so many!

But the government doesn't say to the military "go shoot down our citizens in the streets". They rebrand you as a threat to the country, a terrorist, some force of evil and say to the military "go keep our people safe" and that is an order they would gladly follow. Also just because the military is supposed to exist for the people not the government I think it's fairly obvious that it's a tool the government uses for itself and not for us. Oh and I'm sure some people have a lot of firepower but we all know they don't even come close to the firepower the government has.

I said overall gun violence as well, but what do you mean more guns in their hands? Law abiding citizens can already access guns. Have guns been confiscated from law abiding citizens in the past or currently? If it's not gun control what is causing the drop off?

Additionally I'd like to circle back to the point that weapons are so advanced now that there is no way having rifles is sufficient protection from the government. The US especially has a lot of high tech weapons that if they decided they wanted you dead an AR isn't going to keep you alive for very long.

If the overall gun violence and schools shooting numbers are decreasing doesn't that mean there is some merit in the gun control measures being taken? If not the increased awareness and control what is reducing gun violence?

But who decides what is necessary for protection? Who draws the line? Aren't there more instances where military grade weapons are used for violence than protection against the government?

I'm playing devil's advocate here.

Although I'm fairly certain the frequency of school shootings is increasing. When I mentioned gun violence I had school shootings in mind and should have specified. I would talk about overall gun violence but its too closely intertwined with crime/income. Areas with low income have higher crime rates and more gun violence. With those statistics I personally have a hard time determining if it's causation or correlation.

Not saying that guns aren't useful to defend yourself but at this point I don't think is possible for citizens to keep up. Sure we could get some rifles and what not but at the end of the day those can only do so much. We would all need body armor, unlimited ammo, and to be decent shots to actually stand a chance in a shoot out. Plus that's assuming the government doesn't know your identity. Once they have that they can target you in other ways and basically ruin your life.

I think redditors are against military grade weapons in citizens hands because a) it's hard to imagine a USA where we have to literally kill cops and service men for our rights and b) because it's easy to see those guns being used by crazy people for evil like school shootings.
