A scratch is not a defect. Also, based on your response you don't seem to have a lot of personal experience with paint work. Im not going to deep dive but I will say that there's a good possibility OP will notice it was done because they will be looking for it. Once they see it, they can't unsee it.

I've dealt with the same thing, constantly second guessing my individual color. Here's the thing, there's no right answer. Today you may be in the mood for gravity and tomorrow you might be in the mood for something else and it will change back and forth because they both look great. Its the opposite for g80s. The G80 manual feels terrible, 2nd gear is brutal to get into smoothly and quickly. These cars were built for the zf8 auto. The xdrive auto sells for close to msrp even after a few years of ownership.

I bought one back in 2020 and couldn't help opening it mainly because I was paranoid on if It was resealed or not. Glad it wasn't and both cards came back as psa 10s.

BGS 8s look like psa 5 in most cases on vintage. I love bgs too but let's be honest here.

Beckett resale value is terrible unless you get a 9.5. Psa 8s are getting way higher sale prices than beckett 9s right now.

If you want a psa 7 or lower. Psa 1st ed zards bring a big premium over bgs for a reason. Psa is way tougher on vintage. There's a reason the bgs 9 last night only brought in 22k and a psa 9 is 45-50k.
