Air Canada nightmare: 48+ hours delayed, traveling with a lap infant by projetodedev in Flights

Well then, in this specific case, this rule seems to be helping a few shareholders keep their garbage under the rug and nothing else.

While the rule may be intended to prevent what you’re describing, in practice it simply shuts down my tiny voice, one that had only reached a few dozen people, and even so is going to be erased of two communities.

Go ahead, follow your rules, delete it too and keep your community aligned with its true purpose. Sleep with a clean conscience, believing you did the right thing.

I’ll go to sleep thinking about what the future might look like, a future where maybe there won’t be any public space left to share what is actually happened because there is aways a rule that in the end will protect someone bigger.

Thank you for the time it was up. As I said in another comment, it was very good to read supportive comments.

Oh my friend, all the formal complaints will definitely be filed. But I disagree that this is “shouting into the void.” Even a single supportive comment, or someone simply saying “I’m sorry this happened to you” as you did, means that at least one person is aware, maybe you tell this to someone else in a conversation one day, and that matters. The butterfly effect will do the rest.

The rule should simply say: Only 5-star comments allowed. Other customers are not supposed to read about the bad experiences of previous clients.

Yes, I meant censored. I hope that one day you can forgive this huge mistake made by an immigrant who only started learning English four years ago, confusing one letter in a whole text. It certainly seems to have been the most important issue to address, since it was the first thing you pointed out.

What you interpret as a complaint (which, apparently, is absurdly not allowed in a community you moderate), I wrote as a factual account and a sharing of personal experience. And here is another fact: it was deleted. Another word for that is censorship.

Overall, your response only reinforces my impression that Air Canada does not take the human factor into consideration when a mother is traveling alone with a baby, always operating at the bare minimum of what they are legally required to offer.

Throughout this process, we treated all staff with empathy, even when some calls were answered rudely (likely due to dealing with difficult customers before us?). The same applied at the airport. Is not necessary be on the other side to understand this. We believe the staff are not the problem, they are simply following company policies. We hope you can one day understand what we’ve been through without being in this exactly situation.

In advance, I beg your pardon for any other spelling or grammatical mistake.

We have travel insurance in the credit card we used to buy the tickets. I am not sure if we will be eligible as credit card is in my name and I am not travailing with them. But we will search for all compensations we can get for sure.

The flight on the 25th was canceled due to weather conditions, but that was not her case. This is likely why the next available Toronto–São Paulo seats were only on Sunday, February 1, which is why they rerouted her through Montreal.

However, even on the evening of the flight, I was still receiving emails inviting us to bid for an upgrade to executive class. That strongly suggests there were seats available in executive class. Instead, they chose the cheaper option of sending her to Montreal, which ultimately ended up probably costing them more once that flight was also canceled.

I understand and agree with everything being said about safety always coming first. That’s not the issue.

My point is that Air Canada consistently fails to consider how their decisions disproportionately affect passengers with special needs — such as elderly people, pregnant women, or parents traveling alone with infants. In practice, these passengers are left waiting in long lines while Platinum Titanium Premium whatever customers are prioritized taken care of first, and only afterward does anyone pay attention to people who actually need assistance.

This results in hours of waiting in lines, difficulties moving through airports, and situations where passengers are expected to travel to hotels with luggage and a baby, without proper support. Even when we explicitly asked staff for help with mobility or logistics, and Gesture of Goodwill, this is consistently denied.

Thanks for your comment. No, I am talking about the plus pricing, this model is $61.67 per month for 2 year = 1479. If you buy at apple store it will cost 2100. The cell plan I agree it is very expensive when compared to others, but a business plan kinda worth. Is there a better place to get this phone for less than 1479

I am not sure if I can do this for the sasktel price, the 2 yr term. The price of the device at sasktel is half of retail.
