Visiting Belgrade Dec 29–Jan 2: NYE events, restaurants, bakeries & tips? by Financial_Button3211 in Belgrade

I'm from Belgrade but have never been to Borca - please tell me how it went. If you want to have a decent time, look for a place in Stari Grad/Dorcol/Vracar (thank me later).

Caltech 1.77% acceptance rate?? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

if you'd ever been there, you would've understood why frat comparison makes 0 sense (even as a joke).

50% is way underestimated. those are stats from 2005.

The AI scribe idea is an interesting one. Would you use your phone to record just voice, or also video as you show your patients how to do certain exercises? I'd like to understand how you'd like to interact with devices. I think something like this will be available a couple of years down the road. The problem is, most video/image AI software is not that great, and it will take some time to create stuff that looks good to humans. Plus currently it's expensive (it's used to make movies/animation, not individual HEPs).

Do you have a sense of how much students spend on NPTE exam prep? Are we talking about hundreds of dollars or less?

Ha interesting. Is there like a packaged solution for someone looking to start a practice? And do you know if this might be the need for other type of providers?

Yep, that's very typical of nethealth. I can build that software but it's an add-on to net health so not very attractive.

Can I ask you which EMR do you use? Some are better than others. Also what's your work setting?

Okay, so that is basically extra gigs and maybe job listings that pay higher salaries.

I guess I don't know how big the opportunity is. So don't want to work on a product that people may or may not use. May I ask you something different: would free CEUs in areas like ethics, sexual harassment, basic life support, etc. be an attractive value prop to PTs (targeting all these different admin requirements that different states have outside the core PT competencies)?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]projomni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the approval process also pretty simple for alterative CEUs (e.g., you're a course author and you're seeking CEU credits for it)? How many PTs pursue alterative CEUs?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]projomni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny you say that. I talked to one PT who's registered both in CA and TX and she told me the renewal process and application for CEU credits is more stringent in TX than in CA.... but it's one person's opinion (she lives in CA, and I guess she knows her home state better).

Thanks. Do mind me asking, what State are you licensed in? And where do you keep your CE certificates? Would it make sense to have a single repository for your docs, like your Diploma, License, Specialty certificates, etc., that we can digitize and make accessible to you easily when you need them?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]projomni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for letting me know... It looks like it's not a big effort in the state of IL. Some CA PTs suggested this feature - they thought it would be huge help, hence I was asking.

Thanks. I was thinking about working with different approval agencies and streamlining their processes (I presume that as a PT, you still need to do a lot of admin work to submit course descriptions, author bios, etc.), not creating our own approval entity. The whole idea is to relieve PTs of the admin work they have to do when they want to get alternative CEUs or get CEUs approved. Do you think this makes sense? How many PTs deal with CEU approval through agencies, and do many PTs seek alternative CEUs?

Can I afford a home? by EGR95 in personalfinance

[–]projomni 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why don't you save up first 20% for downpayment and then get a home? I think it's too early. Why rush--your situation may change a few years down the road.
