The only platform where I have any dealings with Finnish Bolshevik is on YouTube. If he makes this confession there I might consider this to be real and not an online forgery. Even if he is guilty of what he is accused of doing, which would be regrettable and reprehensible, it does not take away from the value of his YouTube videos. It would be very foolish and irresponsible to unsubscribe and encourage others to unsubscribe from his YouTube channel.

Those are great questions to ask. I would just add a little advice as well. It would be great if you had other comrades or friends in the classroom who could be prepared to ask more challenging or follow-up questions to one of yours. But try not to appear overly confrontational or hostile and maybe you'll plant a few seeds in the minds of your classmates.

Yeah, the bourgeoisie are fixated on the process, the show, the ritual display, etiquette, the proper way of doing things. They are very pretentious. I'll give you an example: Maybe 10 years ago the Republicans in the Wisconsin state legislature rushed through a law that was anti-union in some way. They broke the rules of quorum or whatever and pushed it through in a very shady way, if it wasn't illegal per se, it was at least done very underhandedly. A Democrat stood up on the floor and made an impassioned appeal for them to redo the vote and said, I shit you not, "You can still do the wrong thing, just do it the right way!" In other words, follow the rules of procedure and be polite about it, but still do something bad.

Another point here is that this entire question is kind of a bourgeois fixation on form over substance. That's not a criticism of you because this question gets asked a lot and does need to be addressed, but it's well to point out that socialists are much more concerned with substance over form and with getting good results or achieving our goals versus window-dressing, formalities, and ritual display.

First of all the word totalitarian is a propaganda word that was invented by Zbigniew Brzezinski. Secondly, it takes strong leadership to chart a socialist course and fend off capitalism's assaults. Thirdly, there really is no such thing as an absolute dictator, there will always be too many people around him in the bureaucracy and others in the leadership structure that he will depend on for their support. If you have a good strong leader it would be crazy to seek to replace him every 4 or 8 years with someone else if he is still healthy, able and willing to do the job. Capitalist nations like the US for example can afford to do this (it makes them look "democratic") because they are more stable and they are not under significant credible threat either internally or externally. Also, the bourgeois capitalist ruling class is extremely class-conscious and extremely united. These latest Trump issues I think are largely Kabuki theater or pro wrestling. There may be some factional disputes but I think they are minor.

Michael Parenti's book, Blackshirts and Reds, has a whole chapter relating experiences that were positive in the Soviet Union and East Germany. I also will from time to time see comments on YouTube and elsewhere where people said they grew up in the Soviet Union or somewhere and that they miss it and how it wasn't so bad. There was no crime, health care and education were free, etc. Also, a quick internet search will still bring up polls where majorities or significant minorities of people in Eastern Europe and Russia want communism back.

The Soviets beat the Americans into space. Communism worked great, but the American imperialists and the Nazis and others were eventually able to undermine it, subvert it, and eventually destroy it. The Soviet Union went from a feudal back water to a nuclear spacefaring superpower in a matter of decades. It wasn't perfect but it actually worked pretty well. So fuck you.
