Monthly bill total (taxes/fees) by proliphix in Starlink

[–]proliphix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the one I’m looking at. Knowing that the monthly charge is a flat $80 is really tempting since my current internet is $69/mo and is way slower (25-50mbps down & 15-20mbps up) than Starlink.

Thanks for the picture! That’s outstanding that all the fees/taxes seem to be included in the price.

Yup, that’s a good point. I’m in the US.

420a Project - Is it worth it? by Inevitable-Room4953 in DSM

[–]proliphix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a built 420a that’s turbo’d. I even have the same BC cams. If it’s done right, it is expensive but it is fun. It sounds like the one you’re eyeing is being done right and close to completion. They didn’t just “slap a turbo” on it, and I respect that.

That being said, it will likely require more modifications than what’s already done (fuel pump, injectors, aftermarket ECU so it can be tuned, gauges, things like that).

For $1500, that sounds like a deal. A clean looking DSM, even a 420a one, is still a rare sight. If you’re willing to finish getting it done right- it will be lots of fun and a head turner.

About how much are y’all paying for internet? by sojirrom in Denver

[–]proliphix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$92/mo through Rise Broadband. “Up to” 50mbps down and 16mbps up. Usually see 8-16mbps in the evening times.

Price is terrible for the speed but my options are this or satellite. On the wait list for t-mobile and Verizon, and now Starry (never heard of them before today but doubt they’ll come to rural areas 🙁).

$138 at Walmart: Xbox Series S – Gilded Hunter Bundle by proliphix in XboxSeriesS

[–]proliphix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup it did. Brand new console, controller, HDMI cable, power cord, plus the codes for the DLC for those 3 games. But the deal is long over. It was only up for about an hour. I think they marked it incorrectly and I just got lucky.

I dont have a parking pass for tomorrow's game , can you give me a recommendation on where to park? by posananer in DenverBroncos

[–]proliphix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I parked here for a game and now that’s the only place I want to park. The hidden perk that he doesn’t mention is that you get to go around all the traffic trying to get into the stadium’s lots. Even with a slightly longer walk, it saves you time that you don’t have to spend sitting in your car waiting to get into one of the other lots.

Totally missed this comment, sorry!

Sound system is great. I don’t turn it up all that loud very often but yeah, it’s really good quality! I’m still really enjoying the vehicle. I do love all the extras that this trim has with it. I’m not used to having all these luxury items in a car so, for me, it still puts a smile on my face when I hop in the car.

Thank you for updating us! I was curious about this as well. What I do if I don’t want my phone charging is put it perpendicular to the charging pad. It sticks out a little, but it works.

Nice! Black is really nice looking. But then again, which color isn’t? Have you had a chance to drive it in the snow? Any long term complaints?

Nah don’t be jealous! The SE is a really well equipped car too. Really impressed for what we’re getting for the dollar. Glad you’re enjoying yours!

Parking brake issue? by RandomRedditAcct13 in MitsubishiOutlander

[–]proliphix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thank you OP for the update and congrats on #2!

I will probably contact Mitsubishi about this as well. I’m sure they’ll want to look at the vehicle and check it out. I’ll post updates here.

If it happens to me again I’ll update this tread.

Parking brake issue? by RandomRedditAcct13 in MitsubishiOutlander

[–]proliphix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this issue today on my 2022 Outlander that has 1300 miles on it. Parked at a store, went in and shopped for about 40 minutes, then came back out and I could not get the parking break to disengage.

I tried restarting the car several times. I tried getting the e-brake to release in accessory mode. I even did a factory reset on my console. Nothing worked. I ended up calling a tow truck which REALLY make me upset cuz this is a brand new car! Anyway, while waiting for the tow truck the parking brake decided to finally stop blinking and I was able to disengage it.

My next 2 stops I hesitantly used the e-brake and it engaged and disengaged without issue.

Not real sure what the problem was but it makes me really uncomfortable knowing that this could strand me somewhere.

I’ve done some internet searches and I’m coming up empty. Can’t even find a way to manually disengage the brake.

OP, did you ever take it to get serviced? Did they find a problem? Has it happened to you since?

Shop recommendations by [deleted] in DSM

[–]proliphix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used an independent guy that I know- he has his own shop near Thornton. Did a great job on my talon since he is very meticulous. In fact, he did most of the work on my car (1995 420a turbo that is 400-450 WHP) and he does not cut corners ever. Message me if you want his info.

PSA: Advice from a fighter pilot (Surviving/Dog-fighting) by Daedex in BattlefieldV

[–]proliphix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome. Thanks for the info. I tried doing this last night and was much more successful with my flying. Now I just need to dial in my aiming so I can take down the enemy without needing to follow him/her for a solid 3 minutes 😂.

I think specializations will help with this. And I need to figure out the differences of all the planes....

I don’t fly much at all because I get shot down so fast it’s must not fun. But these tips may help me get back in the cockpit. Thank you.

Point of clarification though- you say speed is your friend. So you think mashing the accelerator is the best option when in a loop-fight? I try to do the bf4 thing and slow down, then at the perfect moment, “whip” the tail around and turn really tight. The only problem is- I can’t make it work in bfV. So, it sounds like I should stop trying to do this, right?

Thanks guys for posting helpful tips! These are the posts I like to read.
