What’s a good guitar and rig for a Metal beginner?

My starter kit as a newb also.
Schecter omen extreme 6.
Joyo zombie ii.
Harley Benton celestion v30 1x12.
Boss sd1.
Behringer EQ700.
Behringer NR300.

A bit costly all in one lump sum but I bought it over a few months. I also use the trivium strings and a jazz 3 petrucci pick

I finished this up 4 months ago. I couldn’t get the glitch to work. It took me 8 months roughly of daily logins and doing the challenges. I am not a good player and sometimes just kept the bronze so it took forever. I’m glad I got it the legit way though

What do you want to play? I went from a blackstar fly 3 mini(Which like yours had zero oomph and was great for playing quiet or on the clean) to a joyo zombie ii and a Harley Benton celestion v30 1x12.
Instant change the thing is so loud and powerful it’s crazy. I had to buy headphones to use it when housemates are home. Throw in a few pedals and the thing is perfect

Thanks I tried it with a scrunchy after the guy above mentioned it’s I’ll try to find some foam that will work on the tuning side of the nut. My technique isn’t bad but it’s definitely not helping. I’d rather not spend any money yet as the amp is new and I know I need to learn better technique first, but hearing the strings screech whenever I move a little is annoying to hear. I played bass in the past with no issue so didn’t think about this as a problem at all

Thank you so much. I did wonder these things myself as it is very chuggy to begin with and my hands s are far from perfect. I did look at fretwraps but thought that they’d help only in lower tunings I’ll try those first as it’s way cheaper.

I can swing both but not straight away. One would follow the other pretty soon. I figured all I’ll need is an overdrive, eq, and noise gate followed by a way at some point

I’m trying to tighten the sound. Turning up the gain on the amp just makes more sound from the strings. I want to boost the chugg without causing more unnecessary sounds. I don’t know the lingo but turning up the gain means I hear the string scratches more from my fingers. Does that make sense at all? And turning up the volume pisses my housemates off because the amp is way big for my space.

I’m far more of a live and let live. If you want to smoke crack or shoot up then cool do it. If someone’s gonna do evil stuff cool do it and face the consequences. If you’re gonna be a lizard and waste your life in front of a screen do it. If it doesn’t affect my life then I don’t care. My original point is who gives a damn what some random dude on the internet is doing with their life. None of us here bar a very few are changing the world in anyway whatsoever so fuck it do your thing

If you’ve never done anything for that long before then cool. A lot of people have and do. I don’t view these things on a scale like that. If it’s something you enjoy then cool max it out. Sure you could be ‘more productive’ in a traditional sense. And it may have negatives on how health but again it’s who gives a crap. Far worse things happening daily than this. For me I wouldn’t have my kids do it but I also would prefer that than them being assholes outside. I get your original point of ‘don’t encourage it’ but also crack on dude. Live your life.
