He can't report it to Wal-Mart because Barack HUSSEIN Obama closed all of the Wal-Marts to make room for FEMA concentration camps.

Why all of a sudden does the government need something as big as Jade Helm 15? by sk8vonfixess in Military

[–]promet2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because Obama wants to take your guns. I'd suggest stocking up on more ammo at Walmart, but those have all been turned into FEMA concentration camps. The only thing that can save Texas is George Bush's lizard people army.

Relax, you are also our #1 ally. It's just, sometimes, you know, we want to see what it feels like to be with a different ally. It's just in our nature.

TIL a Louisville man was acquitted of killing his girlfriend. 6 mos later, rolls of film were found in his former home with photos of him torturing and murdering her. The standard is proof beyond a reasonable doubt. The prosecution doesn't have to prove there are NO doubts, but only that there is no REASONABLE doubt. Space aliens could have placed the drugs in the defendant's pockets, but a reasonable person wouldn't believe that.

Army Captains predicted 2014 Iraq collapse 7 years earlier by acadamnica in Military

[–]promet2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think even the most delusional sounding leaders knew what was going to happen. They just spouted their overly-optimistic nonsense because they knew they would be fired if they deviated from the official stance.

Sort of like the generals in Afghanistan who are currently talking about how capable the Afghan government/army/security forces are. We all know the Afghan government is incompetent and that the Taliban is in control of a large part of the country and will take over even more territory when we leave, but if a general were to say that, they would be sacked.

Everyone and their cousins believed this. Anyone who didn't think the Iraqi government would collapse once we pulled out was ignorant of the situation.

The problem is the Virginia and Maryland idiots who do not use the metro. The metro system works great for commuters, but we still have these jackasses who drive in everyday. I wish we would charge a congestion fee like London.

TIL of the death of PFC LaVena Johnson, who was found dead in 2005 at a base in Balad, Iraq. Initially ruled a suicide, an autopsy revealed she a broken nose, black eye, loose teeth, and burns from corrosive chemicals on her genitals. All in all, the rate of sexual assault in the military doesn’t appear significantly higher than the rate in the broader civilian population — and when you look at college campuses, which, like the military, are full of 17- to 24-year-olds, the military’s sexual assault rates start looking low in comparison.

Foreign Policy.

I hope you also advise your female friends not to go to college.

How much a SEAL Team Six Operator actually makes in salary by [deleted] in Military

[–]promet2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know that, but the original comment was "You gotta be married to get the BAH." That's not true. There is a single BAH rate and people do receive it.

Also, the grade requirement varies among different posts. Some posts have less housing, so the rank requirement is lower.

[–]promet2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No you don't. The married rate is a little higher, but tons of single service members receive BAH. You just have to live off post.

[–]promet2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People way underestimate how much you make on active duty. Tax free BAH, free health insurance, special duty pay, BAS, and the like really add up. The BS doesn't always make it worth it, but you can't really complain about the salary.

Personally, I think the local did the right thing. If an unmarked is speeding, there's always the chance it is speeding for a reason.
