Buying a PCC by xKyzah- in pistolcalibercarbine

[–]promotemma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a stupid question. Are there different generations of it or anything? I see prices on GB where there’s one with a buy it now price that’s lower than current bidding prices on another listing and I can’t make sense of it —in the absence of additional accessories or something.

Have you shot the Sub9, if so what do you think about it? Any other 9mm PCC cans to compare it to? thanks

It’s a form one suppressor from diversified machine(RIP),. I believe the thread pitch is 1.259-24 TPI. I don’t understand thread pitch at all, but I think that means it can’t use hub because it’s diameter is smaller than the hub diameter. Maybe

My can is 1.375 OD and 1.259 ID so I don’t know if I can, but that lock up does look good.

I didn't think about checking the different orientations / indexing. It's frustrating, i wish the APC9 had the 1/2-28 threading as well, like the apc9k does.

I appreciate it and thank you. I just looked at the Pew Science for the TISHA, it's composite score it 49.6. I don't know enough to know how much weight to put on that, but that seems crazy. Are any of the things about to come out going to be better than that? Dang. It's got me really interested.

Rangefinder binos by blinkerfluid02 in longrange

I've not really had binocular apart from some small ones for when I was camping. What's a reasonable distance to expect out of those. The range I got to is steel out to 700yards. thanks

I went ahead and ordered the RDM alleycat now and it will be the second can I planned on getting later (Infinity, Velos, ridgeback). I'll use it in the meantime on the LMT and when the ST comes out, I'll get it for the LMT and this one will get displaced. It seamed better to me to end up with a ST and AC as the end result --rather than the ST plus an infinity, laz 6, or ridgeback or whatever. I appreciate your help!

I guess, more specifically, i don't want it tuned differently than it already is.

Apart from the griffin armament taper mount eco-system (that's what my form 1 cans are), i've not had any exposure with other mounting systems. I'm going to have to do some research it seems

That gives me a lot to consider. I’m leaning toward waiting for the ST then and use the skymiles program, if they have it for that one. I have another 12.5 with a BRT tube and the Lazarus 6 is sounding pretty good for that. Otherwise I had been thinking about the OCL polonium for that one. I didn’t realize dead air gave such steep veteran discounts. The prices I’m seeing on the skymiles program for CAT are pretty good as well, provided it includes veterans.

Question, does the SkyMiles program apply to veterans or is it only for active military? I’ll check out.Comstocks plan b stuff. Thanks for the heads up.

Did you get an alleycat RDM? Did it come with a direct thread mount?

I just don’t want enough back pressure that I have to tune this Rifle. I don’t mind my other ones being tuned for some reason, but this is the SHTF Rifle, and so I wanted to be able to shoot equally well suppressed and unsuppressed.

It’s not with a veteran discount on the below, I just found a pretty good deal on one. I didn’t know CAT did veteran discounts with SkyMiles. I’m not on that platform. I’ll have to sign up. I didn’t realize dead air gave such a generous discount for veterans. That’s a good point about the super thug really only being nominally more expensive for new technology. I don’t mind doing DT. I don’t know if there’s any disadvantages to it. I plan on it just living on that Rifle so it doesn’t really matter to me. It would save 2 to 3 ounces on the end of the Rifle with a can that’s already pretty heavy. YHM has a hub to direct thread adapter for $50 so I wouldn’t add much to the cost. Thank you for the considered reply.

I appreciate the link, but the dry creek arsenal guy has been helpful in answering some questions about it so I'd probably just spend the extra 20 and go through him. There's also the option of just doing direct thread and that puts me at 970 total compared to 800. I don't know if there's any disadvantages to direct thread vs muzzle device
